I loved the original version of this movie but this version gives an interesting twist b/c everything isn't so happily ever after at the end. however, i really love the message that resonates throughout the film: home is where your heart is. Depp's portrayal of Wonka is unique and inventive. He may not be likable but he really isn't trying to be. There are a lot of deep themes through out the movie which may make it boring for younger audiences. But overall, a nice film to watch with your family.

) This is one of my favorite movies as a kid and now a kid at heart. Charlie came from a poor family and so did I. I could relate to not having money to buy candy that often.

Its pretty good, me and my wife enjoyed it more then the one we remembered as kids. The acting in done well. Jonney Depp is almost artificial and makes the movie one of a kind. This is a good movie for us to put in the PSP for long car rides for adults and kids.

This movie is excellent. I bought this for my 5 year old, and with all movies, I watch them first before giving them to him. At the age of 23 I can actually say I loved watching this and would watch it over and over again. The first one was great but this one is fantastic! Johnny Depp done a wonderful job.
