Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (HD DVD, 2006)

i love it!i have seen it at cinema and it was very good fun!i bought it for regular dvd,but i'd like to watch by digh definitions 1080p.so,i decided to buy it for HD DVD.thanks!

when i first watched this movie i actually didn't like it. but i think it was because i was expecting it to be like the first one. and i felt that johny depth was really over acting. but i gave it another try and since i wasn't expecting it to be like the first it was actually pretty darn good. i really liked this movie. you just have to give it a chance i think that people will like this movie if they haven't see the original. and if they have they have to watch this movie then watch it again a year later

This movie is a lot of fun. Not as good as the original, but of course the effects are a lot better. Willy Wonka is a lot creepier, and the songs are no where near as good. But it is a remake and it is intended to be different. Movie quality on HD is crystal clear, and the sound is as good as a theater.

I wanted to see how it compared to the original movie. I also wanted to see how it looked in high definition.

CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is recognizably darker than the Mel Stuart-directed 1971 version starring Gene Wilder. Though the mysterious chocolate factory has been closed for 15 years, it continues to produce and ship candy all over the world. When a contest promises a tour of the plant to the lucky finders of five golden tickets hidden inside wrappers, no one is more excited than Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore), an impoverished boy whose family lives mere steps from the factory. Though he can barely afford even one candy bar, fate intervenes, and Charlie finds the last golden ticket. Joined at the gates by a group of despicable brats named Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, Augustus Gloop, and Mike Teavee, Charlie and his Grandfather (David Kelly) venture inside proprietor Willy Wonka's (Johnny Depp) delightful factory for a wild adventure.

We haven't been able to play the DVD because it's HD, or something.....it just won't play. I haven't contacted the seller......I don't know exactly what to say.

If your a regular joe like me then you will love this movie, just like I loved the original. If your one of the those people that really read in to this movie or a wanna be critic then dont watch this. If you Like movies for what they are, "Movies" then you will love this Movie!
