A Charlie Brown Christmas (DVD, 2000, Sensormatic; Bonus Peanuts Feature)

I can still remember the very 1st time 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' showed on TV in 1965. My family still had a black & white tv. Color tv's were way too expensive back then.

In 1966 my grandparents helped mom & dad by splitting the costs of a New Color TV..!! Then CBS of course replayed 'Charlie Brown Christmas' and this time we got to see it in LIVING COLOR..!!

Over the years it became both a personal and FAMILY TRADITION to watch this program usually just after Thanksgiving and it was in PRIMETIME on either Saturday or Sunday Nights.

Since the early 80's VHS and later DVD's came out and now the costs is so low it's silly for people not to have a copy of this wonderfull program

I'm a Pappaw now... (grinning) and even tho my grandson is just now 1 year old he has his own copy of 'A Charlie Brown Christmas'..!!

This program is simply a WONDERFUL....DELIGHTFUL....BLESSED.....Christmas
Tradition for everyone to start and enjoy together.

I have so loved the music by Vince Guaraldi Trio so much that I bought a wonderful DOUBLE CD so I can enjoy the music from this program all year long.

You can't go wrong, by buying this program on either VHS or DVD....
You should buy 2 or 3 and give them as gifts to your children and they too will share this GREAT FAMILY TIME PROGRAM each and every year with their
children too..!!

I have viewed this show so many times, that I can probably recite the lines word for word, especially Luke 2:8-14. Charlie Brown is a character that many of us can relate to, someone who was teased and humiliated. However, by questioning what Christmas was really all about, he helped everyone else to learn the true meaning of Christmas. And, he did choose an old-fashioned non-commercial Christmas tree, that just needed some love. Don't we all?!

This was another movie that I had bought on DVD when getting rid of my VHS- and this film is another MUST HAVE!!! It's so adorable!!! The scene with Lucy and Schroeder on the piano is a riot- Charlie Brown and his best friend Linus try to find the true meaning of Christmas while everyone else gets commercialized with colorful presents and chrome Christmas trees. A movie with a good lesson, but lots of fun along the way.

My wife loves' the peanuts, especially Snoopy, She like's them so much, the song Linus and Lucy was played at our wedding.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" is one of a very few works of art that may truly be classified as a definitive work. This is not a cartoon; it is a chronicle. Not nostalgia; it is historical perspective. This masterpiece marks the end of an era. Those that lived through the times portrayed in "A Charlie Brown Christmas" will be reminded of a world now extinct and almost completely forgotten. Younger viewers will gain a glimpse into the hope upon which an entire culture was built, and thrived. Yes, it was a work of firsts: the first use of jazz in a mainstream television soundtrack; the first time child voice over actors were used to portray children in animation, etc. But more importantly, this is a work of lasts: it is the last deep sigh of a collective consciousness about to move from one worldview to another. It is the tagline to a cultural epoch. Required viewing. Sigh.

This movie, along with the other history greats from Charles Schultz are just all time favorites of mines. I introduced my daughter to Charlie Brown while vacationing in Ohio and from that point on she was interested and wanted to see movies. I was so elated because my other kids never really were interested as I was as a child. What I like most about the movies are how child friendly they are. There really isn't anything I dislike about the movie though-

The 1965 classic what can you say about the Peanuts but outstanding no matter what they do or say you still love them. Out of all the Peanuts movies this is the all time favorite it's never dull or boring and you look forward to seeing it every year. It's better than football ask Charlie Brown!

The DVD arrived promptly and in excellent condition. It's a family favorite and we've already warched three times.

I ordered 2 DVDs and one CD for Christmas presents and they did not arrive until Jan. 2. So I returned them.

this is also an all time classic from 25 to 30 years ago that my grown kids used to watch. I bought for my grandson to enjoy at Christmas time.

Seller didn't have the dvd in stock order after i purchased won it. Waited several weeks hoping the dvd would become available finally decided to cancel the order.

Of course A Charlie Brown Christmas is a timeless tradition! And really requires very little description. It outlasted the Beta and the VHS I bought this to replace my broken VHS tape,that way we can play it until our DVD becomes outdated,and we move on to whatever is next,Charlie Brown will be there as well!
The other film thats on this DVD "It's Christmastime Again Charlie Brown" is just as fun to watch and hope they keep these two TOGETHER! The plot wanders back and forth but each little "story on its own" is heartwarming and entertaining for the season.

That's the main reason for this purchase because my VHS of Christmastime Again has accidentally went the way of the trash compacter because it fell into some newspapers and got tossed into it! :(

Tried to buy this from 2 different places on eBay, both said they had it in stock, neither did. After waiting some time, and after my request, they did refund my money. They should never have said it was "in stock."

This is a movie I have loved since a kid and I was happy to find it on Ebay at a price I could afford. The shipping was reasonable. I had looked in stores and was unable to find it so when I saw it here I had to have it.
