I love anything western. I have a few of his works. I love to read about artists and how they start, where they live, etc. and this was a great book.

) I have admired the work of Charles Russell for sometime now. Well, probably since I have had horses. I do not own any of his prints myself so when I saw the book for sale online recently and locally, I purchased it.
Russell lived his artwork, hunting and trapping on the frontier, herding cattle on the range and then turning it into sketches and sculpting. I think that's why his work is so good, he does it from the heart.
I really like this book because of the vivid color photos of his work and the stories behind the artwork. It makes a great coffee table book for guests to read as well.
