I got this as a gift and since then, have given it as a gift many times, because I loved it so much! I love reading the commentary, the Life Principles, the life questions and their answers, and the footnotes at the bottom of the page. Many times when I am facing a difficulty, the place I read helps me face the day. I have learned so much about Jesus, His love for me and God's constant care of me from this Bible. I highly recommend it without reservation. If you or someone you know are searching for deeper meaning in life, don't be afraid to purchase this Bible, you will be so glad you did!

I have several Bibles and one would have thought I really did not need to purchase another one, after all, how many Bibles does one person need? Aren't they all the same? Don't you only need to believe in one of them to understand God and be saved? Well each of those questions have a yes and no answer. I have found that I like to have a KJV(King James Version) for formal reading like at church services. For studying the Bible, I enjoy the NKJV. This Bible is written in this translation. It reads more in today's tongue without paraphrasing to much as the other versions due. I think there is such a thing as translating the texts too much and getting an entirely different meaning than what was intended. What I like about the Life Principles Bible is the sections that point out God's promises. Dr. Stanley wrote many sections in this edition that helps answer todays mysteries with the spiritual promises of the written Word Of God. As a new reader of the Bible, or a even a veteren to His verse, you will see the Bible teachings come to a better understanding and quicker realization of what the author of the passage was trying to convey. The Life Principles Index in this Bible makes for easy finding of answers to common questions about our faith and instructions on following His Word. It spells out where in the Bible you can go to find God's message about certain topics. At the beginning of each book in this Bible, Dr. Stanley writes a preview of the book summizing it and giving you a time period to work with as well as a translation of the books name. I ecspecially liked that.

this bible is fantastic. it is super large print, easy to read. charles stanley is a great pastor and he puts things in simple terms to understand. alot of verses in the bible come with seperate explainations under them for easy reading. i would recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn and understand the bible better or especially for the first time. charles stanleys' lifes principles are great also, they help you lead a christ like life i bought one, liked it so much i bought another and then bought two more for friends who are coming around to god. i highly reccommend

this is the 3nd Bible i purchased this Bible is excellent.i have learned more fron reading this Bible than i have in 29 years.My Husband has one too and is very satisfied also. I purchased 2 as a Gift for Churchmembers and they are impressed also how easy this Bible is to understand GODs Word. The best single volume bible reference/study bible strong concordance with many unique references. Can be studied by topics as well as traditionally.

This bible is wonderful because it is the New King James Version- not NIV, NLT, etc. This is so important for me because everything else loses SO MANY WORDS AND MEANINGS!!! Also, Charles Stanley gives you an overview of what was going on historically and politcally and who is involved in the book--all before you read the book. Pastor Stanley explains key points at the bottom of the page and doctrinal readings are highlighted in a subtle gray. It rocks!

I bought the large print. It is a wonderful Bible. I really liked Charles Stanley's comments, points, etc. The print is a great size. It is really nice, even for those who don't need it (yet :). Anyone looking for a Bible, this is a great one to add to the library.
