With producers like Kanye, Wyclef, and Raphael Saadiq, Leela's debut album is an amazing set of sultry tracks reminiscent of Angie Stone... but breathier.

When she says that shes gonna put the soul back in the music that is what she meant. Her powerful voice, but suttle choice of lyrics, behind a strong beat makes you want to put the CD on repeat. I'm a little late jumping on the Leela James band-wagon but it was well worth the wait. Anyone who buys this CD will not be disappointed if they are a true lover of soul/r&b music.

) There are about 4 songs on the album that are absolutely excellent! However the remainder is sorely lacking and unorigional. I recommend downloading the few really good songs on itunes, and save buying the whole album.

I played "We Gonna Have a Good Time!" over and over on my iPod so much that I actually burned myself out on it. Absolutely LOVE that sound - fun, catchy tune with a great beat - and it's not easy walking down the street while trying to "shake my thang 'roung" at the same time!

i bought this cd maybe a month ago, "GOTTA LOVE IT'! this lady is smooth with her music no hard stuff. she has the angie stone vibe. relaxing music i have absolutely no dislikes about this cd.
