In the footsteps of Bruce Catton
Bruce Catton's shoes are big to try and fill but Stephen Sears has done an admirable job in trying to fill them. His books are all great, easy reads, packed with all the twists and turns of a "who done it" novel. Civil War strategies were oft times like that.
Mr' Sears has written a copious amount of works on the Civil War and WWII. All are fine works, this book, Chancellorsville, is possibly the finest work on this campaign to date in my opinion.
