James Galway is essentially a legend in his own time. A specialist in flute music, his repertoire is wide and beautiful. On this particular CD, The Celtic Minstrel, the mellow sound is both relaxing and challenging as to the depth of sound one can bring from the instrument.

The Celtic Minstrel - James Galway - Flute
) If you love Irish/Celtic music, you will enjoy this compilation of classics from the famous flautist James Galway. He always gives a performance with deep feeling. Great music to listen to and relax. My only small issue is the slightly distant miking of the sound to give an "airy" feeling. Some of these selections would be better served with a more intimate recording.
