The Celebration Hymnal (1997, Hardcover)

I bought this book because I am a church pianist/instrumentalist. It works well with the 'Hymnal for Worship and Celebration' by Word also. They complement each other as far as arrangments go with key changes etc. This book is currently in print.

I liked the variety of the old, favorite hymns with the addition of newer worship songs and choruses, and also the transitions between groups of hymns or worship songs so that it is easy to play several hymns for prelude with the transisitions in between. The print is easily read and the readings are pertinent to the songs and are easily followed and part of the service.
