Cel Damage (Game Cube, 2002)

This game is so much fun. i havent stopped playing it yet, and i bought it 2 years ago. i realy hope the people who made it comes out with a second game like this.

First off let me just say that this is my all-time favorite game for the Gamecube, and possibly even the Wii. Thus my opinion might be slightly biased. But if you take away anything from this review, read the last paragraph.

Cel Damage is best hybrid of racing and fighting I've ever seen. While its fastpaced gameplay may be hard to follow for some, the game is a perfect mix of strategy, skill, and dumb luck. It never gets old.

Make sure you have someone to play with though, because it really is centered around it's multiplayer aspect. In fact, there is no single player game mode, only multiplayer against all AI. While single player is still enjoyable, it just isn't the same as using the vacuum weapon to suck up a friend right before getting sliced by a giant spinning ninja star.

I wouldn't recommend it for someones first game, but anyone with an experience with racing games (Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing) or any other not-too-serious racing games will love this. The best buying advise I can give is to Youtube the"Cel Damage" and check out some game play videos.

My 9 year old son rented this once and we b=have been looking for it. He got it for Christmas and plays it more than any of the new Wii games he got!

I have only played a few driving games. i have spent hours at Simpsons Hit and Run. Thinking this might be fun because of the "cartoon like" cel animation is what made me buy this.
Th econtrols are bad everythings too fast the weapons dont last long its all confusing. Theres no driving on the roads its just a free for all.

It needs to be slowed down made a little more forgiving with the weapons(Your default weapon is throwing rocks) or have a first person perspective .
I only paid si bucks including shipping but I still feel ripped off.

I bought this game thinking it was a racing game, but it is a demolition-derby style and the cars are VERY hard to control. Most of the game is locked out until you beat the first stage, which with the poor controls is very difficult. I got bored very quickly. Don't waste your time or money.
