Movie Description
Writer, director, and star Chi-Muoi Lo's comedic family drama tells the story of a Vietnamese family and an African-American family whose lives are intertwined, and the manner in which they come to terms with each other. Mai (Lauren Tom) and Dwayne (Lo) were adopted by Harold and Delores Williams (Paul Winfield and Mary Alice), who raised the children as their own. While Dwayne considers them to be his parents, Mai continues to search for her birth mother. When their mother is located and comes to America to be reunited with her children, it causes a series of resentments and misconceptions that turn the family upside down.
