Synopsis
Strange things are afoot in Pickax these days, despite the small town's quiet charm. An elderly woman dies in a fire, a local politician is defending himself against scandalous rumors, and then a local artist disappears. Journalist Jim Qwilleran and his faithful sleuthing cats Koko and Yum Yum know when there's a job to be done. And as always, they're more than up to the task.

Spring has come early to Moose County. On the surface, things appear tranquil for newspaperman Jim Qwilleran and his two felines, Koko and Yum Yum. But then an elderly woman dies in a suspicious fire, and the newly opened art center falls victim to a mysterious break-in. Throw in a scandal involving an unscrupulous local politician and an anticomputer uprising at the town library and suddenly life is anything but peaceful.
