Synopsis Lilian Jackson Braun has been penning her popular "The Cat Who" mysteries since the 1960s, and THE CAT WHO DROPPED A BOMBSHELL falls in at number 28 in the long-running series. The town of Pickax is about to celebrate its sesquicentennial, and local journalist/town philanthropist Jim Quilleran ("Quill") has been busy helping with the preparations. In the midst of the party prep, he has allowed visiting Californian Harvey Ledfield to come and sketch his architecturally renowned home. Harvey is a young architect and the heir to the fortune of Doris and Nathan Ledfield, who are residents of Pickax. However, Quill's cat Koko seems to smell something fishy, and when she pounces on Harvey for seemingly no reason, Quill begins to wonder about the motivations for Harvey's visit. When Doris and Nathan Ledfield turn up dead, Quill and Koko are pretty sure they know "whodunit."
