Cat Ballou (DVD, 2000, Special Edition)

This is one of my favorite movies from my childhood. This is a great way to watch an old classic, at home on my big screen TV. This really brought back a lot of good memories, very entertaining! I wanted to have it in my collection and it was easy to get on E Bay.

Mad Cap Comedy at it's best. The cast was perfectly matched to compliment each other. Lee Marvin won an Academy Award for this performance. Rightly so.
If you like westerns, then this will tickle your funny bone forever. Because there has never been a western like this one-EVER.
Viewers will love Nat "King" Cole and Stubby Kaye as balladeers. This was the last movie for both of them.
Good entertainment, I've enjoyed it for years.

I'm a big fan of the good ol' classic western movies, and few are more classic than this. It has the swearing unscrupulous bucktoothed villains, the dazzling yet self-protecting damsel in distress, and last but not least; the rather strange sharpshooting protagonist.
I have yet to watch a bad Marvin Lee -movie, and this is without a doubt no exception. Actually, of all the ones to pick from, this is my favorite. This goes a tad beyond regular westerns; it has all the usual elements, plus a few humorous and to times peculiar ones.
This piece of western art is fun for the whole family, even the graphic HD-craving youngsters will enjoy this one.
All the statements above aside, the real reason I personally purchased this particular movie, is that I used to watch it 24/7 with my grandpa.
Whether or not this title makes you all nostalgic like it did me, it is highly recommended to everyone.

This is a fun entertaining movie. No social commentaries in this movie. Just pure entertainment. Great cast. Lee Marvin won an Oscar for his role(s).

I saw this movie when I was little and I liked it then and I love it now. It is a funny western. Lee Marvin is great in this movie.

This movie has been called a "Sleeper." However, it is one that will keep you laughing through the entire run time. There are some serious moments, but mostly comedy. Lee Marvin said at the acceptance of his Oscar, that, "The horse should have won instead." Lee Marvin and his horse are wonderful. This is probably the best movie that Jane Fonda ever had the opportunity to make bar none. This is the only movie that I have ever seen Jane Fonda truly use her acting skills. What a do not miss movie.

I bought this movie because I watched it as a child and my dad really liked it. He was the one I bought it for. It is a very funny movie and in todays world you do not see these old westerns as much as you would like. Now we have it and I know it will be watched many times over the next several years.

My In-Laws had this movie a long time again and the kids loved it when they were little. My daughter asked me to buy it for us.... She is sixteen and loves to watch it!! ALL of Our family loves the MOVIE~~ Excellent!!

Great old movie - Lee Marvin is something else - would recommend! Had this on VHS but not in good condition - just a fun movie!

THE NEW TOWN WANT HER DADS LAND AND HIRES A GUNSLINGER TO SCARE HIM TO SELL HIS LAND!THIS IS A GREAT STORY AND IT HAS JANE FONDA AS THE DAUGHTER AND MY MAN... Great movie, DVD played and looked fine on my LCD TV and old DVD player. I think this is a quality DVD recording of a classic movie!

a good movie all the way around. Lee Marvin plays a great drunk. Loved the part where Marvin and the horse are leaning against the jail. Am very happy I purchased it on DVD.

I've always enjoyed the slap stick of this movie especially Lee Marvin in a duo role. I wanted this movie as part of my collection of old time movies. I enjoyed the music by Nat King Cole and Stubby Kaye. Lee Marvin was very deserving of the Oscar.

A real great Lee Marvin & Horse part/ He make the film fun to watch.
One worth keeping to watch later, you will never forget Kid Shaleen.

Cat Ballou has been my favorite movie since I was 4. I just recently saw that it was on dvd, and I jumped at the chance to get it. After watching it now, I just realized it was a comedy...ooo the things you think when your little. If you ever get a chance to watch it, do it!
