Long time ago, circa January 2005, an old friend lent me "that new Castlevania game where you get the enemie's souls"; i played a while, around 2 hours straight and i had this curious realisation: "man, am i playing pokemon capturing souls of evil creatures, some of them beign folk demons from other parts of the world?" "well mostly but you get to actually use yourself said souls, not just summon them".
With this entrance, i went to play all the way through "Aria of Sorrow" for the GBA. The controls are quite precise, if not almost slippery in some surfaces, where our main hero Soma Cruz must avoid a certain despair for the world while trapped inside a rebuilt Count Dracula's Castle. Graphycally, the game gives you as much as it was the system capable of showing the best it was capable, showing some colorful and detailed imagery both on the background and the foreground. For an almost gothic-themed game, in a portable console, this was quite a task pulled by the little wonder.
I can't stress enough how much of a good gameplay experience awaits for anyone who dares to have a sweep at this game, wich has a high-end replay value, where you have the challenges of finding all souls and completely exploring the castle itself.
Get it if you find. The goods await.
