Casio SY-30 2.7 in. Portable TV

It is the perfect size to use on the boat with added protection of being waterproof. It is easy to store.

Great little TV. However I wish that I had checked about reception after 17 Feb 09. This set will require a converter box to recieve a usable signal. which means it will no longer be portable.

I have had one of these for years now. It still works and looks like new! Its been dropped, watched in rain storms, just about everything you could do to a portable TV and the screen is not scratched at all, still gets all the channels, still has a 4-5 hour battery life.

Very pleased with our choice. We have had several Casio handheld tv's over the years and this by far is the best one.
Pros: Good size, battery use is acceptable. Sharp screen and very good color. Knobs are large and easy to use.
Cons: Channel selector scans for channels each time the tv is turned on.

I have owned this TV for about a yeaer, and have had no problems whatsoever with it. lives up to it's description as shock and waterproof! good buy!

never got the item, seller said that the tv was out of stock and got a refund. was'nt at all satified with transaction.

Pros: rugged, knobs are protected, battery and jack bay have nice "O" Ring seals. So while I wouldn't want to submerge it, it seems splash-able.
Buttons are Scan Up, or Scan Down. frequency band/schema switch selectable

Cons: The Jack Bay must remain exposed when using a power adapter (6V)

I purchased it as a tool-box item for A/V trouble-shooting

I hate to recommend it too much, as I intend to buy another as gifts

very nice portable tv. Screen is about the size of a nintendo ds screen. Very good sound I was surprised how loud the speakers are. You can plug in a video game vcr,dvd etc. Using a EGD2 AUDIO VIDEO CABLE (GOOGLE IT) NOT the regular RCA (composite) cables.

it's just cool. I have 5 kids that don't always want to watch the same thing. But now that they are taking away "FREE TV" it makes it really hard to watch anything on it other than PBS. I didn't find this out until after purchasing tv. But it's still a cool tv.

I love that its small and compact,i wasnt happy that i had to buy the ac adapter that cost 19.95 and will have to buy an external antenna because i only can get one channel on vhf and it dosent really come in to clear.
