Casio High Speed EXILIM EX-FH20 9.1 Megapixel

I am a PGA golf professional and I use this camera for high-speed motion analysis during golf lessons. It's ability to shoot at 410 frames per second (FPS) makes it a fantastic tool for showing the path of a golf club with a high degree of detail. It is very much like watching the Minolta swing vision slow motion replays you see during PGA events on TV. Pair it up with a 7 or 10 inch LCD panel (using it's std AV output) and you have a very competent motion analysis tool that runs only on batteries (no worries about AC power!). I also use this set up for baseball, soccer, and basketball when working with my son--all at a fraction of the cost of the high-end systems. I couldn't be happier with the results.

I bought this camera and received it a little while ago. First off I would like to state that I am an amatuer with this type of camera. SO if I state a problem that would appear to be an obvious common occurance then keep that in mind. So far the camera is great. I like all the features and have tried each feature that is available on it. The shutter speed is great and the high speed video is also good. The only thing I did not quite expect is that the high the video frame rate the lower the resolution and the darker the picture. Putting on a color filter does help a little for the brightness. But so far I am unable to film anything indoors in high speed without extremely bright lights. Indoors with just the average 100 watt lights show almost nothing at all in the picture at 1000 frames. The picture is so dark the only thing I have been able to capture at 1000 frames in regular indoor lighting is a lighter lighting. Because that emits light on its own yet it still is pretty dark. As for the still frames I am quite satisfied. There are many customization options. The zoom is also very good and very clear. I would give this overall a 3.5-4 stars. With the only bad part being the unexpected extremely dark high speed video. But seeing as how that is one of the most attractive features of this product 3.5-4 would be my total rating.

I bought this camera primarily to help me out with my golf swing. I haven't even had to use the 2 faster settings for video. I just use the 210 fps and I get great feedback immediately especially with the high quality easy to use slow playback along with freeze-frame and step by step playback. I can't really say I've used it for much else than that. I used it a little bit to watch my dogs play and it was neat for that. It wasn't that great in low light settings for high speed video unless I missed a setting, but for what I am using it for, it's perfect. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking to use it for a similar use.
