Casio G'zOne Boulder (Verizon Wireless)

I bought the phone because Iam pretty tough on phones. This phone is waterproof and very tough. It is very easy to use but still has all the bells and whistles that people want. Reception is very good. I haven't really found anything that I dont like about this phone.

Bought because I am in the Marine Corps. Very durable. Loud ringer. Compass, Camera. Easy to hear out of. I like the fact of it being waterproof and dust proof. Will be handy since I do alot of field ops. More durable than most phones. Not real bulky and light weight. Beyond my expections of all that I have read on the verizon link about the phone. Has everything.

I have been looking for this boulder for a while and finially bought one. I wish I never did!! The Audio is the worst I have ever heard! to be a MILITARY GRADE phone , costing so much as $399.00 , I not recommend this phone to ANYONE!. I went as far as contacting the casio company before buying the phone because Verizson salesperson even told me NOT to buy one yet due to the Audio problem. CASIO told me they had fixed that problem. It's not. The reason the phone's audio is bad is due to the plastic cover over the speaker to prevent water getting in. The phone is water-prof. I ended up removing the back cover and taken the plastic off. The audio is alot louder now. the inner speaker for the ear on the other hand is the same. SUCKS. The phone is not what they make it out to be. Really think twice before spending alot of money. My wife has the 750 adventure and I would buy one of those ANYDAY over the boulder.

Awesome phone I have wanted to try one of these phones for a long time. I'm hard on phones and this one can handle anything you throw at it! I can't say enough good things about it. I'm an advide outdoors man and it is simply as tuff as any of my equipment i use. And i do use all of it. It not only looks good it is as good as it looks!

Great phone! besides being water proof dust resistant and all of that jazz, My G'zone was an excellent weapon. I was lost in the woods 45 miles deep in the Rocky mountains, Hungry as heck. I noticed a rabbit nibbling on delicious berries...So I crouched down and aimed at the rabbits body with my phone, Then like Chuck Norris with a chinese star I threw my Casio G' Zone Boulder at the rabbit! Knocked it right in its little bugs bunny skull and killed it with one shot! It was still twitching a little and I was not sure if it was nerves so I bashed it in the head about 72 times with the G'zone Boulder ............ and much to my suprise, skull fragments did not chip,scatch nor dent my Casio G'Zone boulder and like being water resistant, it is also rabbit blood resistant. Great phone for the office, to have Suzy Q send you flirty myspace pics on or to go out in the wild and survive!

Good phone, except it don't have contact backup from the computer. I like the ptt on the phone which makes it easier to use.

I had a touch screen phone and had to baby it all day but this phone takes what I throw at it. And when i need to clean it I wash it in the sink how Bad#@% is that! Great work and outdoor phone if your a hunter or fisherman its got a electronic compass to get you back to your trunk or car.

I feel that this phone has features that sllow me to accest messaging, music, pictures and video very easy. I really like this phone.

Cell Phone is built to military specs. Dust, rain, and the occasional drop won't effect this Cell phone! Has a good look, and isn't too bulky. Neat interface too.

This phone is designed for people who abuse there phone like me I have dropped it it has been kicked fell in a lake still works like the day it came out of the box ******

I like it. I change phones often because I have high expectations. I've had this phone for about a week and took it on a fishing/hiking trip. It held up well. Had service throughout the mountain pass. Battery has been lasting all day no problem with pretty consistent texting and phone calls. I'm sure the extended battery would last a couple days. The compass is fun to play around with but I wouldn't risk my life (or day trip) with it. The flashlight has already come in handy multiple times and really does put out a good source of light for a cell phone. The body is pretty compact and not as bulky as i thought it was going to be (imagine an Orbit pack of gum). Its water resistant. I haven't dropped it in the water yet or talked myself into doing it on purpose but it seems pretty sealed up with o rings and such. I hang out with some pretty rough guys and they were all impressed with my new phone. There's no denying that it looks cool (unless you hate orange). If you're bringing pictures on a MicroSD card from another phone... be ready to exercise some patience. It takes forever to read the pictures and half my pictures don't show up because they are not recognized. HOWEVER, the pictures I take with this phone load quickly and there is not a problem. Okay, on to my only complaint, when set in "Alarm Only" and "All sounds off" mode the phone still vibrates with incoming text messages. I've read that this can be bypassed by setting your phone to "no ring" for text alerts each time you set the alarm or in general. Since I want a tone to sound when I get texts throughout the day this is a little annoying but not the end of the world. I recommend the phone if you want a simple, tough, outdoor cell phone.

If you get this phone, get the one with the front speakers holes in it. This is the newer version with updated firmware that addresses some of the sound quality issues that previous versions had. This is a great phone overall, with decent reception, good battery life, resonable sound volume and quality. use. For a ruggedized phone, the finish is almost to nice. I'd personally like to see something reminisent of the rubberized G-shock watch. I've dropped it several times though and everything still works perfectly.

so far so good it stands up to what i put it thru..dropped it several times already. look forward to many years of service with it and Verizon

love the style. love the cear pictures it takes. love the flashlight, and compass. I don't like how small the pictures are. they don't get full screen. Even incoming pix messages are too small. I hate the way it txts. It uses T9 word. Which sucks. Itapen is easyier and more user friendly.

My prior phone was the S GzOne. This phone has major improvements. Graphics and camera are much improved. This phone has a port for a mini card the other one did not. This one is thinner and alittle wider. All of which are great improvements. Don't get me wrong I liked the S phone but not near as much as this one. Oh by the way this phone really is water proof as was the S type phone. I work in construction and use my phone alot. It has to be tough and is. Thanks Casio for a great phone.

great phone as opposed to the older versions,a few new upgrades,reception is pretty good,sound quality is comparable to other phones,i guess due to the membranes for waterproofing. never worry about dropping this phone in the toilet again!! 2 thumbs up.

THE PHONE IS GREAT., I LOVE THE FACT THAT IT IS SOMEWHAT WATER RESISTANT. I HAVE MY OWN POOL CLEANING BUSINESS AND HAVE DROPPED OTHERS IN THE WATER. THIS IS GOOD TO 6 FT. FOR AN HOUR OR SO. I HAVE DROPPED THIS IN THE WATER TWICE AND IT IS STILL RUNNING. IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU'LL EVER NEED. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING ABOUT THIS PHONE IS THAT IT COULD BE A LITTLE EASIER TO FLIP OPEN.

I had the type-v and jumped up to the boulder and I am not going back. It takes the best things from the type-v and type-s and rolls them in to one. If you can find one and you want a phone that will take just about any abuse then the boulder is it!
