  Casio Cassiopeia E-125

I had no intention of buying a pocket pc or PDA of any kind. I felt such devices were gadgets I could live without, but then I entered into writing and creating eBooks, I wanted the formating to be pleasing and accurate whether one read the eBook on a PC/Mac or a portable. After extensive research I opted to purchase the Casio Cassiopeia E-125. It was child simple to setup, install software, updates and the activesync ware on my computer. In the matter of minutes eveything was up and running. Before long I found myself using the device as an MP3 player, thumbedrive to move files from one PC to another, as a voice recorder, note pad, a camera and video recorder and web cam. I was even able to surf the internet with a wireless Compactflash wireless card. The Casio Cassiopeia E-125 turned out to be a solid investment. It has been highly reliable and maintaining the unit a breeze. Even though I was able to do so much with the device, It was only lightly used due to my busy schedule. If I had more time to truly enjoy eveything this pocketPC had to offer I would search for another unit just like it. The Casio Cassiopeia E-125 is one of those gems that almost gets away, but for some reason or another, you buy the product and wonder how you lived without it. Like a cell phone.

A good pda, with minor drawbacks.

Although I've upgraded to an Axim x5, this pda has some things that others don't. Example: it has the largest screen I've seen yet, can't be beat for the price, easy to break battery and memory card cover (at least it HAS a memory card cover, all Axim x5's don't), easy to get free software and games (and there is a LOT for the E-125), almost no compatibility with new programs and games, can be dropped a few times (I have), and not as much accessories than the other pda's can be bought for it.
This pda has a large 32mb RAM (for its time), but don't put ANYTHING on the RAM, or it will be slower signifigantly in games, and programs. And, with a 150mhz (180mhz overclocked) MIPS processor it is plenty fast.

Just a quick Word about the E-125

I first bought the Casio E-115 and really liked the color capability it offered over other PDA's. I have more recently started to use the options of collecting music mp3's to use and have enjoyed the fact that I did not need to buy another expensive unit. The E-125 also allows me the opportunity of collecting short video movie trailers to review form downloads off the internet. Collecting ebooks to read at my own leisure has also made it convenient to take on trips without carrying alot of extra books. The capability of saving lots of extra data or ebooks or mp3's on extra compact flash chips has really made the unit convenient for travel. Adding extra power units for the car, spare rechargeable batteries and a sync bay for work and home makes it easy to utilize the unit wherever I travel on a regular basis. I also like the fact that many extra programs were available for purchase on CD to download and sync for the unit. I enjoy using both the E-115 and E-125 and keep one readily available whether at work for handy portable transport of information (Word, Excel, or other data - even recording notes audibly or written)and then also for my own leisure and entertainment with games, music, ebooks, and videos. I would not travel without it and with a modem card it easily keeps me connected to the internet for email without taking a larger laptop.

I bought my first Casio Cassiopeia E125 pocket pc about five years ago and I have put alot of miles on this little pc. I really like the web-on-the-go that came as a bonus with my purchase this lets me keep check on my email when away from home. I couldn't wait to buy all the extras that was made for it such as the keyboard and of course the games. There are so many free software programs this pc will never get boring for me. In fact since joining eBay I have purchased six more units and all are the E125. In my opinion there isn't another pc out there to top my Casio pc. I have bought extra memory cards and leather cases for all of my Casios thanks to the good sellers on eBay. This is by far my all time favorite electronic toy. It's so easy to use it will keep the kids busy on a trip also. I highly recommend this pocket pc.

  Classic PDA - Computer
Review created: 02/05/08

Even though current model PDA's are more wireless and powerful, this classic "hand held computer" is ideal for mobile "business" use. Being able to up and download Word, Excel and your outlook calendar and emails is priceless. You don't have to carry a bulky laptop as your "computer fits into a pocket or purse.

The package of the PDA, and all accessories was a superb buy. The product was in very good condition, even so nice that I decided to buy TWO more of them from this seller.

I decided to buy this product and 2 other's because of the quality, the accessories, and because this seller worked with me very closely. Shipping was extrememly quick..and it was a great product for the price.
