Carry on Mr. Bowditch, a great book!
This is a great book if you like to read about the sea and tight situations. This book takes place in the 1700’s. When Nat was twelve he was indentured for nine years as a bookkeeper because of his father’s decision. Nat travels throughout the years as his family and friends pass away, but Nat kept on going no matter what. As he grew older he discovered another way to work a lunar plus he wrote a new, more accurate navigation book. Most of the time he was at sea he taught the sailors how to work a lunar and mathematics. There is no doubt that this is a favorite book of mine and always will be.
