Helpful book for the serious gardener

This book is an excellent companion for the home gardener. It lists all vegetables and flowers common to household gardens, and each of their complements (which plants should be combined for optimum growth and disease and insect resistance).
For example, we had planted yarrow and gallardia in our flower garden. The gallardia grew only 18" tall. It should have been twice that size. The book states that yarrow slows the growth of other plants, shortening them. This is true.
This book also has drawings for layouts of ideal gardens.
This book will be a great help for future years as a reference for my home garden.
