CAROLINA , the follow-up to Eric Church's debut, SINNERS LIKE ME, is half contemporary Nashville country, half old-fashioned 1970s-style country rock in the style of the Eagles. Highlights like first single "Love Your Love The Most" and the delicate ballad "You Make It Look So Easy" are blithely commercial country singles, but tracks like the unexpectedly electronic "Smoke A Little Smoke," which sounds like a fantasy collaboration between George Jones and Beck, suggest a more innovative, eclectic spirit.
