Carnivale - The Complete Second Season (DVD, 2006, 6-Disc Set)

I never recieved this dvd set I paid for. I went to leave the seller feedback and he was (not a regerstered ebayer) I couldn't even leave him feedback to warn others. I am a buyer but I find this happenes alot also the price for shipping is terrible, people make extra money on shipping instead of the price of the item. Then if you ask for your money back on something you got burned on they send you the .99 cents but keep the 9.99 shipping cost. this was a power seller. Doesn't say much for the sellers on ebay. Very upset Sugarbut

Sadly, this program was cut short. Originally planned to have five seasons, it was cancelled after the second. So the true scope of the show was never realized, but it does 'end' at a satisfying plot point. After this season, it is easy to see that this program would have developed quite further with new secrets revealed, and new themes explored.

Absolutely amazing. Such amazing quality. It's like there are tv shows, then HBO television programs. The don't skip on anything, and don't waste there money or time on famous actors, the only hire great actors, not just the prettiest ones. It's just to bad this great show is now over. But what a way to end it. The suspense and mystery of this season are unbelievable.

It really took all of the first season to understand what is going on in the vague sense. I don't want to give away any of the surprises. It is a shame that this was canceled before the third season. The artwork for the opening credits is outstanding. This show is a slow builder in tension but there is really a lot of plot in each episode. There is more to the story than a man that can heal any illness. The special effects are never over the top. HBO should bring this show back.

I really enjoyed this HBO series and was so disappointed to see it end. All in all, a very compelling, scary and addictive storyline.

I loved the good, evil battle that ensued thru the entire series. It was hard to tell who was good and who was bad. They did a really good job with the characters conflicted on several levels and slowly revealing the plot. The dust really never settles and keeps you wondering who will fall and who will rise.

We love all of the HBO series and watched Carnivale season 1- we rented each episode at the video store. We were disappointed to find that the video store didn't have season 2 so I looked on Ebay and found the complete season 2 series- it was very affordable and we love watching each episode whenever we want. This series was pre-owned but in excellent condition and we have had no problems with it.

VERY CREEPY AND EXCITING. IT WILL HAVE YOU HOOKED FROM THE FIRST EPISODE.i BOUGHT THE FIRST SEASON BECAUSE I HERD IT WAS VERY INTERESTING AND FOR THAT REASON I BOUGHT IT. IT WAS, FROM THE FIRST EPISODE I SAW, I WAS HOOKED. IT IS CREEPY AND YOU THINK ABOUT THE EPISODE ALL DAY LONG, YOU CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT.....

As awesome as the first Season. It does share of the same limitations as the first Season, but both are permanent residents in my DVD library

Carnivale fans will be on the edge of their seats watching season two. It picks up exactly where season one left off, leaving no storylines dangling. When Ben meets his dear old Grandmother, its like an updated scene from Deliverance. Why HBO canceled Carnivale remains a mystery other than most people aren't mature enough to handle the raw scenes presented. From the Cooch dancers to Management's mysterious being--I love every minute of Carnivale. Puts a new meaning to the "Dirty Thirties." Certainly a viewing not meant for children or the weak at heart.

Absolutely fantastic! Carnivale season 2 is a slow starter but by he end you're sitting on the edge of your seat gasping for more!!

There is no season 3 though, HBO never made it, and so if you're looking to wrap it all up, you wont get that here - it was supposed to run for 3 to 6 seasons and so the lose ends are many, but enjoy it for what it is and you'll have a fantastic experience of excellent TV!

It arrived three days after I ordered it. It was in a new seal, never been opened. There was no scratches at all on the DVD discs. The DVD case itself looked brand new. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I am in the process of watching season one, and am addicted. I am really disappointed that this was the last season before it was canceled. If this is anything like season one, which the reviews stated that it was, I am pretty excited!

The price was high but it was a gift. The price I would not have normally paid but since it was a gift I went with it.

This was the greatest series!!!! I was disapointed when there was no season three. This was a wonderful interpretation of the depression era and I have loaned season one to at least twenty people all with rave reviews.

The series is addicting and fascinating. I couldn't wait to receive Season 2. If you ike bazaar, magical and more this is a well doe, great cast, stimulating series. tHE ONLY THING i WISH WAS DIFFERENT WAS THAT HBO published these without all of the intro segments for each episode...fast forward! pac

This show is creepy and great. Well acted, well written, sexy and very dark. This show makes you want to run away with the circus. Or hide under your bed. Or both.

I rented this series by accident once. I fell in love with it. I have purchased it several times as gifts for friends and family. It is addictive and I cannot believe it is no longer on. Surely there is a way to continue this. From myself and everyone I know that has watched it...WE WANT MORE!!!

This HBO series Carnivale should be brought back!! It only lasted 2 seasons, and was originally written as a six season series. Even though they never made the last four seasons the first two take you on an epic adventure you will never forget.

Like the other big HBO hits, I wanted Carnivale to go on and on. One of the best TV series I have ever seen.

I got the first season of Carnival and by the time I finished the 5th disc I knew I'd had to buy the second season. This show is really amazing and very interesting. I could hardly stop watching it and found myself staying up late to watch the next show.
