Carmen Electra's The Lap Dance & Hip Hop (DVD, 2005, 2-Disc Set)

ok so this is supposed to be a hip hop routine, right??? .... i DO NOT recommend wasting your hard earned money on this movie!!!! .... she teaches you this cheasy "hip hop" routine, i LOVE hip hop but NO that is NOT what i learned here!!!! .... the routine is a total of about 3-5mins (the movie is so long because of the 15min warm up, a lecture and then her teaching you step by step how to do the hip hop routine) the step by step system is great and works well for learning
basicly in the 3-5min routine twice the "hip hop" dance step is "running in one spot" for four counts, and then turning four times (for a total of 360 degrees) and on each turn doing the same running in one spot move for four counts!!!! and another move is turning four times (again to make 360 degrees) and doing like a squat on each turn .... this dance was horrible!!!!
the lap dance routine was ok, but its NOT an actual routine you could do as a lapdance!!!
if you buy the set then give the movie a watch but DONT waste your hard earned money to buy JUST this one movie of the set!!!! ....
i do NOT recommend buying this on ebay where its $45 plus 10-15 for shipping when you can buy the boxed set it in stores for $35-40 ... its only wroth while for the set but i dont recemmend spending $20 for the single movie its not worth it for what you get!!

This video makes exercising fun as well as teaching dance routines that are short enough to learn. Carmen gives enough repetition without making it boring. She is a teacher that I can watch again and again. I like the audio set up feature. It allows you to choose between 3 types of music and play the one you like during the routines.

I don't know I got it for someone else.but it was a smooth transaction and fast shipment,i never watched it or anything but the person I got it for loves it,and I will buy again

This is a very good workout plus you get to have fun learning how to give your partner a lap dance while burning off calories. I love the lap dance dvd and the hip hop dvd also. I bought this dvd set because I wanted to learn a few new moves to try out on the dance floor and in the home ;)

A lot of critics out there, but you know I found this to be two very fine DVDs for someone who wants to learn the dance steps and get a good workout at the same time. The facts are this is one of he better programs and I recommend it highly.

Ive been looking for something easy to start with to get in the mood and excercise and get fit I saw this on ebay one dya I found it very interesting I compared some prices and bought it at barnes and noble. I decided to buy the whole box set because it was cheaper then buying each dvd one at a time. I poped the first dvd in to my dvd player all extact to learn some new moves for the bed room and get fit oh was I wrong I could barely make it thru the warm up excersice. If you are phsyically fit Id recommend it if your not I would start out with something else than move onto this.

Well, the good about this dvd set is that is was very simple & easy to learn. Carmen Electra gives you easy instructions that makes the moves easy to learn. The menu lets you pick the music you want to use, as well as many other things like skipping right to the dance or the warm up routine. The things I didnt like was the lap dance seemed a bit on the goofy side. Some parts where good. Like the walking around the chair & sitting on the chair. But the head rolls & the bending to touch your legs were in all honestly a bit on the stupid side instead of the erotic side. The Hip hop dvd just wasnt my style. It was nicely done, but I'm not into the whole learning to hip hop dance thing. Over all The dvd was done well with great menus & options. Simple & easy step by step instructions. With a few really seduction moves. But, in all honesty I felt more goofy doing the whole leg rub toe touch move then I felt as sexy. I do suggest that this is an okay dvd for starters. BUt just to give you ideas. I think most women can do better by making up there own moves.

I loved the fact that it was fun and easy. And I loved the music. But, I didnt think it had enough cardio in it. I didnt break a sweat or get out of breath at all. I love this kind of a work out because I get bored easily with exercising. But,I also need to feel like I am getting a work out and I dont feel like this with this dvd. I will still do it for fun. But,I wouldnt count on it to burn tons of calories. And I wouldnt rely on it to replace a good cardio workout.

It was very, very basic. This is for someone who has no knowledge or skill whatsoever in lap dancing. This is for the very beginner!

I like the series and plan to continue to grow my collection. They have been extremely beneficial on many different levels. This disc is nice because you actually have the option to change your music as well as choose between going through the instructional parts or just jump straight into it. It's great!

I had read that this work out was one of her most advanced workouts. I love a challange, even better, a challanging workout thats a lot of fun. Some of my favorites are Karey Anderson, Hip hop abs, and Turbo jam. I expected that Carmens DVD would deliver. I did the workout once, and was surprised how whimpy and unchallanging it was. I have not done it since, and I doubt I will ever do it again. I was pretty much bored after one shot. I will say that It does take the best of the best to keep me interested. I have about 75 workout tapes. A person with less expeirience might enjoy this tape.

This work out video is a fun change to the every day "normal" exercise. It did get my heart rate up, but was not straining. I like how it teaches about isolating different body movements, teaching control and adding flexibility. If you are looking for a fun change, this is the video. (Your significant other will thank you!) Although, if you are looking for a kick butt intense workout, then you might not appreciate these exercises.

This dvd for great for women who love to have fun in their homes or at girls nite in. YOu can even share the moves you learn with a partner or significant other....I love doing this with a group of my friends, because we get to share planty of laughs together

I like the idea of the video but the actual moves dont really work you out. I decided to buy dvd because I have taken chair classes at the gym and really enjoyed them. Video not a total waist does give ideas on how to be sexy for a partner. I liked it!

I bought this dvd about a month ago.
I love the hip hop dance portion not so much lap dance part.. i mean its ok but very repetative.
but it is funn

its a fun way to work out.i dont know what else im suppose to write about a dvd to work out to,but this whole review thing blows, its like work and i feel like im being forced to do something i dont want to do!
