Carlton Lukather Band - The Paris Concert

I was really excited about getting this DVD because I purchased their Favored Nations CD release. Two of the best guitar players out there. The DVD has what you would expect from their playing - no disappointments there. Plus you have a few interviews to learn more about Larry and Steve. The filming is well done - this isn't something they threw together using home video cameras. The BIG DISAPPOINTMENT is this - Steve Lukather's mouth. He uses about every foul word he knows event to introduce his friend and mentor Larry Carlton. Their rendition of the Hendrix classic song, "Redhouse" would have been amazing, but again Lukather has to show his street language skills. This language isn't on their CD, so it didn't even enter my mind that it would be on the DVD. I have other Carlton videos and he is always the perfect gentleman. My plan at this point is to edit the concert with my film software and hack out the inbetween song chatter along with some of the Lukather interviews. I feel that those who list the DVD need to make it clear to buyers that there is bad language. I was watching it with my son and had to slam it off. I would have rated it excellent, but because of obscene language and the need to make an edited version - I'll call it good.
