Movie Description
Self-righteous nurse Lucretia Terry battles with self-righteous doctor Donovan MacLeod (Robert Stack) over the treatment of the mental patients in their ward. Meanwhile, screamy inmate Lorna (Polly Bergen) and destructive pyromaniac Edna (Barbara Barrie) cope with the conditions of the ward. Some consider this a camp masterpiece, a la SHOCK CORRIDOR. Others find its less-than-contemporary treatment of mental illness insulting. Either way, it is beautifully shot by lensman Lucien Ballard (THE WILD BUNCH, THE KILLING).
