Captain Ron (DVD, 2002)

This is another one of those In true( Kirk Russell style) movies wheres shes just so funny in the movie he does not even know it. He plays a down and out captain who aggress to take this mess of a boat that this family inherits to another dock for them, in the mean time thee is an underlying story line about a family who is to busy for one another and you know Kirk Capin Ron makes it all better for them.. This is another comedy that Mr. Russell was great n, It was a sleeper at the box office but it has done well on tape and dvd.. ifs a funny movie

I bought this DVD because it is one of my Husbands' favorite movie. We had a copy, but, A son who lives in Ca "BORROWED IT". The price was right and it is hilarious. It is worth watching just to see Kurt Russell in a Sarong.

I CAN WATCH THIS MOVIE OVER AND OVER AND LAUGH OUT LOUD EVERY TIME. THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE. FUNNY AS CAN BE. GREAT SAILING ADVENTURE TOO. GREAT FAMILY MOVIE. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A COPY OF THIS AND BREAK IT OUT EVERY NOW AND THEN WHEN YOU GET CAUGHT IN THE RUT OF EVERYDAY LIFE.

This is one of the funniest movies ever. I actually know someone who could be Captain Ron. Great movie for the whole family, young and old. I've watched this movie so many times I can't count them anymore. It was one of my daughter's favorite movies growing up. When she moved to her own home, I had to get a copy for myself. I highly recommend this movie. I watch it every year at Christmas time and it never gets old. If you're looking for something funny with a different twist to it, buy Captain Ron.

I bought this movie because I enjoy laughing with Martin Short and Kurt Russell. It is a wonderful comedy about what can happen when two opposite lifestyles collide under circumstances where they all need to work together.
Kurt Russell (Captain Ron) has a carefree attitude about life and rolls with the punches. Martin Short, & his family are workaholics with two children, a teen-age girl (who loves trouble) and a very impressionable son who learns a great deal from his mentor "Cap't Ron".
When the family escape their burb lives for the biggest adventure of their lives, they are met with finding out about who they really are and how much "Cap't Ron" has influenced them!
I would highly recommend this wonderful light-hearted comedy!!!

Fun family movie. Very funny. Some sexual scenes but otherwise great for all ages. Kurt Russell at his since Overboard.

I remember seeing this movie when I was little and since then it has been one of the favorites. I am so excited to finally be getting it on dvd. This has got to be one of Kurt Russell's best characters. Captain Ron is good family fun. I guarantee after watching this movie, you too will be quoting it.

I have liked this movie since it came out. It's one of my favorites. I had to have it for my collection. I think it very good humor and I watch it at least 3 times a year. I give it a 5 star rating.

Very funny movie! One my family has watched over and over. If you enjoy boating and the Jimmy Buffet kind of things then you will enjoy this movie. It is a light hearted, easy to watch movie that you watch with the family.

It was hilarious. I laughed by butt off. Entertaining too. What else can I say? Worth the money.

I bought it for my husband who is a yacht captain and he had heard from some of his customers that it was really funny.I watched it with him and it is really funny.Some of the humor is espeically funny if you are a sailor.

This movie is excellent for the whole family....good clean fun!!! Martin Short and Kurt Russell play outstanding rolls! I had purchased the vhs version a few years ago but wanted the higher quality DVD to add to my collection. Hopefully they will produce a second movie!
