Cap Guns by James Dundas (1997, Paperback)

After my mother passed away, we held an auction of the house holdings. The attic was piled with items from the over 50 years our family lived in the house. It brought back many memories when my old cap guns were found and brought out for the sale. One of them was my old Rifleman gun, still in working order. We had agreed to sell everything so than we didnt fight over items so the rifle and my old Derringer pistols went on the block. It sparked a lot of interest in me as I am a confirmed COLLECTOR OF ALL. I wanted to know more about the old cap guns I had as a child and so I looked for a book to help me understand what was out there. CAP GUNS by JAMES DUNDAS was a good starting point for me. It pictures his own collection and gave me insight into what collectors looked for in cap guns. Since buying this guide I have purchased about ten cap guns and am enjoying the rediscovery of a very old pleasure.
