Can't Wait to Get to Heaven by Fannie Flagg (2006, Hardcover)

Every day I get up and join the rat race. This book took me away, if not briefly, to another place where family is everything and love goes on and on even after we are gone. It's a great stress buster. Fannie my nerves are starting to fray - please hurry up and write another.

Fannie Flagg is such a great story teller! Her characters are always so colorful. I laughed out loud through parts of this book, and cried through others. Yet, the end result was, as always, quite heart-warming. The characters reel you in, you want to keep reading so you know what happens to them. You will love this book! Don't pass it up.

I enjoyed this book, however it is not nearly as good as Fannie Flagg's other books because it was very corny at times.

I can't get my mitts on the latest FF installment fast enough.
I am already smittin with the whole everloving story.

Fannie Flagg writes well and this book is a joy to read. The characters are so real that you feel that you may have met them at some point in your life. While the book borders on being too sweet, there is just enough realism (and a tiny bit of edginess) to keep it from going over the edge. If you're in the mood for an uplifting, fun read, buy this book.

I am SO happy about getting this book!! My sister lent it to me for my trip home this summer and I left it at the airport by accident because I had the trip to home to hell and somehow forgot about it inbetween terminals....I somehow made it home after 2 days of being shuffeled around here and there. After making it home, I realized the book didn't make it....so.....Ebay here I come! I made a bid and WOW...got the book! What a life saver..thank you SO much! I'm VERY happy and so is my sister. Ebay is the way so shop!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had a terrific message for us and so well written. It was very entertaining while conveying important reminders of the way everyone should be treating and caring about each other and what we must all someday face (the reward or consequences for the way we have lived our lives). It isn't written in a deep or depressing way at all. Just pleasurable reading! I will share this book with as many as interested.

I loved the book. I thought it was down to earth, funny in parts but left you with something to think about.

I bought the book because my sister read it and highly recommended it.

Wonderfully cozy lazy day reading. The story provides another opportunity for the reader to "wake up and smell the roses' before it is too late. All in all, a feel good, if even a little reflective, afternoon read.

I loved this book and would reccomend it to everyone. It is laugh outloud and found myself reading lots of it to my husband because he would get curious as to why I was laughing. It is also a book which touches your emotions. It reaches all aspects of life and I would read it again and again. I have passed it on to my best friend and bought another one for my sister. That lets you know how much I enjoyed it. I just couldn't put it down. My advise is buy it today!

I love all the characters! Many are the same ones from Welcome To The World, Baby Girl, that's why I purchased this one. I love the southern themes to Flagg's books.

I had read other books by Fannie Flagg and loved them. It is a very good book and I enjoyed it very much. There wasn't anything about it that I disliked.

I love Fanny Flagg's work but have been "out of touch". So I was pleased to learn about "Can't Wait to Get to Heaven". To understand the characters, I suggest you first read "Under the Rainbow" (or words to that effect), which is my very favorite Fanny work overall. CWTGTH is a fun, light hearted read.

I bought this book because I've been a fan of Fannie Flagg since Fried Green Tomatoes. I own and have read all her books. So, expecting this one to be good was a given, but I was still unexpectedly entertained! She can make you feel like going home with every book without having to leave town! The characters are wonderful. You cant wait to finish it, but you also hate to see it end. Get busy Fannie, I'm ready for the next one!

I just started the book and I find it very enjoyable and funny.
I find myself anticipating what will happen next because it makes you think you know what's going to take place next, but then it's something totally different.
I think they go too deep into descriptions but I guess it's just so we get to know the charactor's more deeply.

It was a fun read. It took me a little while to get into it. Once I did it was a very fast book to read and I would reccomend to my friends.

It is a great book, I heard it read on a public raido station, I bought 2 books one for my Home bound mother and My home bound friend who are both very ill I just loved the book.and Knew that they would too.

If you want to read a book that will charm you and delight you and make you laugh out loud, then this book is for you. Not intended to impart any message except the shear pleasure of visiting this small town and a way of life that is not longer existent. You finish the read hoping that you will get the chance to revisit this town and it's citizens in a future book.

Fannie Flagg provides down-home comfort in this one. You will love all the characters, especially Aunt Elner. If we could all have her outlook on life, the world would be a better place. Be sure and check out the wonderful recipes in the back of the book for some real comfort food.

If you just need something to feel good about, it is this book! Fannie Flagg never lets us down with her stories or her characters. I especially loved that some of the characters from previous books were in this story, though briefly. This book is like coming home to family that you have not seen for a while. Grab a hot cup of something soothing, nestle up in a corner, and prepare to give up most of your day because you won't be able to put this one down! Hurry Fannie, we need another book soon!
