Canon PowerShot SX1 IS 10.0 Megapixel

I had the Powershot Pro1 and loved that camera. I purchased this one thinking it would be an upgrade. Even though it is supposed to have a higher ISO range, the higher ISOs had way too much grain. Also, the flash doesn't pop up automatically when needed giving me an option to override. Also wish they hadn't changed the batteries to AAs and changed the memory card from a compact flash (able to take a beating and still work) to a more fragile SD card. Overall, I was very disappointed. Thank goodness I have my 50D.

this is a great camera! It is a little on the weighty side but takes excellent pictures. Love the zoom!!!! (80x) Takes the best pictures ~ Hubby loves it~ haven't learned all the features but still working on it ~ Great software included with it

I replaced my older Powershot S70 with my new SX1 and especially love the zoom power and the beautiful HD movies I can view on my HD TV. I am still learning all the tricks of my camera and looking forward to taking it to Costa Rica and capturing the details of birds, monkeys, butterflies, distant volcanoes, rainforests and sunsets. Thanks again to Canon for producing an easy camera for the beginner as well as a super camera for the experienced photographer.

We used ultra compact digital cameras recently. We decided to make a step towards better optics and also to have more opportunities to set photos manually.

I am very pleased with my new Canon. It is everything advertised and more. When I learn to use all of it's features I am sure I will be even happier. It has been easy for me to learn the basic functions and I have been really pleased with the quality of the pictures. I would recomend this camera with no reservations.

Looks and feels like a Professional camera. I don't think I'll go back to Nikon, ever. Beach Camera supplied the camera very fast.

It is a very nice camera in a very good price for these features! The combination of 20x optical zoom, 10 Megapixels CMOS-sensor and Full-HD video is amazing and it is from one of the best brand for digital cameras - Canon, it is made in Japan. You can use additional more powerful flash, attach different filters and macro-lenses with 52 mm diameter. The display is with very high quality and could be rotated in many directions.
It is maybe the best choice just before the professional type of cameras. I bought one for myself and recommend it to my friend and as a result I bought a second for him recently.
Finally let me say again that I am very happy with this camera and I will keep recommend it!

The product is very good as it describe in the page. Customer service is pretty well and respond very well. However, the first time I call, that worker was very unprofessional, He was in hurry something and not answer my questions very well. But it was better on second time when I report a missing item, they spoke well and send me the item on time.
