Canon PowerShot SD970 IS Digital ELPH 12.1 Megapixel

Takes very clear pictures even in dim light & dark places. I needed it more because I didn't want to buy a bulky camera to take action pictures of my kids playing soccer. Camera works great w/the continuous shot mode. I love taking pictures now.The only thing I didn't like is just cosmetic.The SD790 has a more sleek look than the SD970.Other than cosmetic reasons, the camera is great & I like the extra feature when you are viewing the pictures you shake the camera and the pictures change to the next picture. I had a Panasonic TZ5 before but I like this camera alot better.This camera has features I haven't been able to get to yet but the ones I have tried are great, especially the feature were you can leave a picture black & white and only select what you want to stay in color from the same picture.Overall, I'm think I'm sticking to Canon's now.

I changed from another Canon camera to this SD970 IS, so had no trouble adjusting to the controls or settings. This one has the best Zoom, biggest screen (3")and image stabilization of anything out there. The Canon's also have great battery life. This one is a winner!!

I just bought this Canon PowerShot SD970 to replace my Powershot SD750 which was stolen from my backpack at a Steeler football game. I LOVED my SD750 but also love this new one. The SD750 was much lighter in weight and less bulky which I liked very much. However, I think this SD970 has more advanced features. I like the larger button to review the pictures and, of course, the 3" LCD screen which I was used to with my SD750. Overall, I like this camera very much.

I've owned this Canon PowerShot SD970 for only a couple of weeks but what a remarkable difference from my last digital point & shoot. The 3" screen is spectacularly detailed and rich with color. I'm hooked on using the grid lines option too, because it helps me position my scenes so well. A problem with my old (cheap) camera is gone now, PTL. If I was within 5 ft of my targets, the faces would wash out due to excessive flash exposure. This Canon knows how to properly adjust the exposure so there's no washouts. It's lightweight and small enough to easily fit in my shirt pocket if necessary. Just ordered two 8GB SDHC Class 6 memory cards so I can capture some high-def video too. It'll be my main photo shooter on an Alaskan motorcycle adventure next year. Can't wait.

I LOVE this Cannon SD970 camera. I bought it because I lost my other camera and was trying to get the same one but couldn't find the same model. After receiving this one, I am so glad I got it. It takes Super pictures, is easy to use and has a nice big viewing screen which is a Must Have for me!! I would highly recomment it to anyone wanting an easy to use, high quality digital camera!

I needed a point and click and this one has the best features out there right now. I've been a Canon users for over 15 years and love everything about the easy of it.
