I previously purchased a Sony Cybershot when they first came onto the scene. It cost me well over $800 for a 3.3 megapixel camera and that was top of the line at the time. The Sony served me well for many years but as I was shopping at a Sam's club, I had a chance to look at the Canon SD890 and decided it was time for an upgrade. I spent several days searching the E-Bay camera's for the price I wanted to pay and finally the right price came up and the purchase was made, saving me over more than a $100 on similar E-Bay cameras and more the $200 on the Sam's Club price. This Camera has more than exceeded my expectations and to be honest it is a little intimidating with all the options that it has but as you use the camera and consult the manual things get a lot better. My camera came brand new and was not a refurbished model and so it had a 32 bit card which is almost useless if you are taking more than 6 pictures at a time, so I also purchased an 8 gbyt card which is no problem for the camera to handle and can now take about 1200 pictures at the best setting or over 6000 pictures at the normal setting. The camera is easy to use, small enough to fit in a shirt pocket and the pictures so far are outstanding to say the least and that is in automatic mode. I can't wait to experiment with some of the other modes such as stitching (wide angle panoramic) color switch (changing the color of a car for instance to a different shade, can't wait to show my rich brother a brand new stable of different colored mustangs that I now own). This camera is well worth the money I payed and is much much more than the Sony for less than a third of the price that I paid for it. Just goes to show how much tech has advanced and I hope this camera wont be old before I use all the options.
My only complaint is the fact that the manual is small(shirtpocket size) and so it's a little difficult to read, other than that no complaints and I'm very happy with the purchase and also the seller and his pricing.

  Canon PowerShot SD890 IS...Awesome

I have a number of cameras and I must say for the money the SD890 is awesome. 10MP, carry in your pocket, shoot stills and video, edit in the camera, print from the camera... did I mention "carry in your pocket". I love the way the viewing screen auto rotates. I also like the way it can shut off when you push play while viewing. I set the shutter to close automatically when viewing pictures. That way the lens is shut.

Love it.

I'm a Canon guy by nature - my Nikon friends think I've gone over to the dark side, but Canon is just right for me. I use a 40D for real pro type stuff - can't get filters and different lenses for the 890 - but it's capabilities are amazing. Pictures are clear, colors are accurate, convenience is in your pocket. IS is almost mandatory any more - does make a difference. At the price you can buy this little gem for, you won't be unhappy.

This is a great camera. Light weight and small enough to fit in pocket. Picture quality is excellent and digital zoom is much better than expected. Camera software is easy to use and menu is intuiative.
The desktop software is also easy to use and has very good capability.

  Great Point & Shoot Camera!
Review created: 04/14/09

The Canon Powershot SD890 is a great little camera. When it comes to crisp, beautiful resolution in photos, Canon is the best. I use the large SLR cameras for business, but I wanted something small to carry in my handbag when not working. I am still learning where all the buttons are and the only thing I would change would be the size. It's almost too small.
I have small hands and I still wish it was a bit bigger to make for easier handling. Overall, its a nice camera that produces great photos. It's a Canon, what else is there? Get one and see for yourself....

My daughter has this camera and took many pictures while we were vacationing last winter in Florida. I was most impressed with the zoom feature and also the sharpness of the photos. I've had two older model Canon digital cameras and have been pleased with the ease of operation of the camera and the quality of the photos for the price paid. I had to have this later model and am very happy with it.

I like that is has a manual mode on it it takes multiple shots even with flash on. I love that it has it's own battery so it doesn't use AA. So far I don't know what I don't like about it. I decided to buy it cause it was a Canon it had 10mp and the zoom was 5x and that it had a manual setting.

The camera is as great as other Canon point-and-shoots that I own. The zoom is great, picture quality is awesome, and the time to first picture is awesome. I would definitely recommend it.

This point and shoot camera by Canon has everything. It has a great telephoto lens, Image stabilization, face recognition and multiple shooting presets. It takes fantastic pictures because of the 10 mp and the only thing that I do not have is the ability to take sports action pictures. However, I have another Canon that I use for sports.
I love this camera. It is portable and easy to carry and conceal. I use it for many different kinds of shots and it beats all the other cameras I have ever had.
I recommend this camera. I think it has everything in one camera that costs a whole lot more.
I bought it because I wanted a small high megapixel camera for under $200. That's just what I got, plus a whole lot more!!!!
Did I say that I love it? I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the clear sharp pictures I get. I'm still trying to get used to what button does what, but I am sure I'll figure it all out soon. I got a wonderful deal on the camera and the seller was honest in his description, it is a brand new in the box camera and he shipped it quickly. Ebayer in Texas

  Not happy with this purchase
Review created: 01/23/09

I purchased a used camera, i thought was a good deal until i receive it. It took three weeks to receive a brown enevlope with only a camera in it - no battery charger, no manual or memory card. All of the items i mentioned came with the camera when purchased new. I understand I bought a used camera but the ad did not mention anything about no manual, charger or memory card. I would not of puchased this camera if the the battery charger was not included, I can get the manual on-line and buy a memory card. I am not happy with this purchase.

I bought it thinking I was getting a good deal for a Christmas gift. It was written on e-bay by the seller that it was only used a couple times. The camera was scratched and had no manual. Really disappointed with this purchase.

What a sweet little piece of equipment. They took the best Canon has to offer and stuffed it into a package tiny enough to keep in my purse. I've always had a SLR, so the manual functions are the reason I chose this model over the others.

bought the NewPhone 74205 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.
