    The G10 takes excellent photos even it auto mode until you learn to unlock the full power of the camera. If you are taking a SLR with zoom lens and need a quick wide angle picture without changing lens or carrying addition lens, this is a very good option. I would recommend this camera to amateurs or pros as a backup to put in your bag.

    5x optical lens includes a wide angle range beginning at 28 mm. If LCD display shows a picture that is too bright (dark) press a single button to reset exposure setting to darken (lighten)a follow up shot; this means no more fumbling with f-stops and aperture speeds. If not shooting in automatic focus there is virtually no time lag between pressing shutter and capturing the image. A great camera for shooting family gatherings, children, pets and the great outdoors.
