This is one great camera. It was dropped about 15 feet from a second story balcony onto a garden area and it didn't even faze it. That was a month ago and it is still taking GREAT pictures. We have used it in all of it's modes and are very impressed with the quality.

it's really perfect camera, the resolution is superb and the ptical zoom is perfect..

although it consumes the battery fast, but you can but recharger and rechargable batteries.

Simply I will give it 9/10

  Reliable camera!
Review created: 04/29/08

I had this camera for about 2 years and I love it, except one thing: sometimes the lens doesn't open and when you realize it, you have no pictures. I think my lil one played with it too much, but if this camera can survive the little ones, in my book, this is pretty amazing!

Easy to use, takes unbelievable pictures, tip: try not to use flash indoors ( if it's not too dark), makes better pictures

This camera takes wonderful pictures!! The only thing I would say as others have said is there is a delay from when you push the button as to when the picture is taken. Overall though a wonderful camera!!

Accurate Description & Honest. Very satisfied. Thanks.

Already have 35mm film cameras. Was interested in used digital to explore usage.
I was very impressed. It had few minor cosmetic faults which I repaired. I mostly appreciate the honesty rather than "sold as is," and you get stuck with worthless junk. This camera made my day, I'm very pleased. And honesty is the best policy. Thank You Greatly, ART

Feel of the Canon PowerShot A620 Camera
Review created: 02/12/08

The camera is an excellent performer. Most controls are very easy to use and provide many settings to choose from. The pictures and movies are, without doubt, very good. Another good feature is it uses AA batteries for power.
The only real dislike I have is the camera size is too large for casual use. The elph series is easier to take along without any problem. Depending on where I am going determines the camera I take.

Having been a professional Photographer, cameras have always been of interest to me.

bought myself one a year ago love it. it takes great pictures easy to use. the shutter speed is delayed so action shoots are hard to catch.say a doliphin jumping.

I love this camera because it is so easy to use. I actually bought this one for my 82 year old Grandmother who loved the one my daughter had purchased to tour England with last year. I will never buy another camera unless it is a Canon, their picture quality can not be beat :)

I wanted the most productive point and shoot camera on the market and I think I got it. It is simple to operate(very important) and takes wonderful pictures. It is very versatile and the pictures I have printed were great! It doesn't take a genius to figure all the bells and whistles and I definitely fit in that category!

  Good Battery Life But Bulky
Review created: 12/03/06

The camera is just OK. I don't think the picture quality is anything special. It is rather bulky and I find that I'm not taking it places as much as my last "smaller" camera. The battery life is really good but you you sacrifice the portability of the camera because of it. I bought this on the recommendation of an artist friend of mine who really likes the swivel feature and picture quality while taking shots of his artwork.

I reviewed many cameras and wanted one small enough to ski, hike and backpack with, that used easily purchased batteries, had a high level of megapixels, and medium zoom. This seemed to fit my needs. All advisors said get a Canon.

After a month of clicking away, I love the camera for its portability, wide range of picture taking options. To name just a few of the obvious options : manual or auto, movie taking , ease of transfering to my computer and the quality of the photos. This is my first digital so perhaps I'm easily impressed.

The one problem has to do with the cover on the digital AV ports. It SEEMS flimsy...time will tell if it holds up. It has been made with plastic hinges that apparently are very flexible and perhaps extra long so that it won't be damaged by protruding leads while open. This seems a good design. It often opens a crack under normal cameral handling and so far will still snap shut. I assume that this sort of repetition will fatique the plastic edges and eventually it won't shut. Other than that, I'm totally happy camper. When I first bought it a month ago I thought, "Ah oh, this camera will not last." Now I think it is a great small camera that I'm lucky to have. I have not used other digital cameras so take what I say for what it's worth. I love the quality of the photos.
In a year I will know much more than I do now.

I purchased this for my 19 year-old granddaughter. She's had some photography lessons and was able to do a lot with this camera. It takes very clear pictures, and she loves it.

I've purchased several different brands of digital cameras throughout the last few years and always had problems with poor battery life. I went to Consumer Reports and the Canon PowerShot A620 was one of the cameras they recommended. I've been extremely happy with my purchase. The Canon PowerShot A620 PowerPlus 7.1 Megapixel has been outstanding - I have yet to change the batteries. I've taken Multiple pictures of the Grandkids - including taking a big trip to Florida and the batteries are still working. The camera is easy to use - takes great pictures - has excellent PC software included and reasonably priced even after adding a Gig of memory. This is the perfect camera for all types of people - especially those people who are tired of replacing batteries and wasting money.

This camera is excellent. its very straight forward and easy to use. the camera is made for point and shoot, and works best at it. it a little big, so itll be hard to fit it in your pocket. but other than that everything else is great.

well the good thing about this camera i must say is it has a Larger LCD screen, its an amazing 7 megapixels!! has 4X optical zoom, full manual controls, and takes 4 AA batteries, however something i noticed was that it had very high noise levels, but for the cost of the camera it offers a hell of alot!!!

I really love it. It's heavier than the A520 (which also took beautiful Hawaii pictures), but is definately worth it.
I ran along my daughters band parade route, just recently, and the video still turned out great..

The only thing I would comment on improving, is the Digital DC IN - AC OUT slide on the camera. Although it has withstood the punishment I've put it through, it always feels like I'm going to break it off.

I absolutely love everything about this camera. Takes great point-and-shoot shots. Good battery life - the color is wonderful and I love the screen how it flips out and rotates and if you want to take a picture with you in it you can line it up before you shoot! I've owned several cameras and I love my Canons and I even have the digital rebel and although they are two completely different cameras and it depends on what you are wanting - this is the best point and shoot I've ever used.

  GREAT camera!!
Review created: 08/07/06

I love this camera - so many features, nice, clear zoom, and with the bigger megapixels - makes really nice prints too - the features originally attracted me to it, and I still haven't figured them all out - but it was a great buy, and i am very pleased with it! Even seems to get really good battery life for me - which is sometimes a drawback with digital cameras.
Only slight drawbacks are the rotating LCD and controls took a little getting used to - but that can be expected with any new camera I imagine - all in all, this is a wonderful camera!! Be sure to get a NICE sized memory card with this - the pics need space, or you can't take very many at a time - I have a 1 GB card that is perfect, and stores a lot! Hope this helps!! This is a really good camera!! :D

The best digital camera at this time in its price range
Review created: 08/06/06

In July, 2006 I was looking for an economical and efficient camera which I could also purchase optional lenses and filters in the future as needed. The Canon A620 had those features and more. Not only does it have one of the highest pixels, it also has actual optical zoom of 4X in addition to its 3X digital zoom. You may use it in the fully automated state or switch to fully manual and any where in between. I do not sell this camera, yet. But when I do find one, say at a garage sale, It will be on my Auctions, fully tested and ready to point & shoot.

It consumes energy vey fast. With 4 batteries, you cannot use it more than two hours. There is no spacial function than the standard ones, it gives only higher resolution but you can use it only in your house. It is too heavy also, very bad product of canon...
