    I bought this camera because of the fact it was simple and easy to use and fairly inexpensive. The reason I was in the market for buying a camera was because I going on a trip and figured it was time for me to get out of the 90's and finally go digital. I didn't know much about Digital camera's at the time so I wanted it to be so simple, that my mom could operate it! THIS WAS THE CAMERA I WAS LOOKING FOR! I liked the fact that if I was out taking pictures and my batteries ran out, I could easily just purchase some new ones since the camera runs on 2 Double AA batteries. I highly recommend using rechargables though. This camera has lots of features!
    - 5.1x Digital Zoom that takes really clear pictures.
    - Feature called 5-point AiAF system that focuses on your picture, even when you shake your hands.
    - Red eye Reduction and Flash.
    - Movie Mode captures great quality movie clips with sound since it has a built in Microphone. It can take up to 3 minute movies!
    - I liked that it had a retractable face cover to protect the lense when not in use.
    - Takes Compact Flash Memory cards.
    - Easy to download images to your computer, just connect the USB cord from your camera to your computer and install the software.
    - Large 1.5" screen to view your images.
    - The Self timer came in handy when we were on vacation and no one was around to take our picture! Haha.
    - The A310 has a Print and Share button which means you can just hook it up to Canon Card Photo Printers or Direct Printers and directly print a picture straight from your camera!

    OVERALL AN AMAZING CAMERA FOR THE BEGINNER SHUTTER BUG. NOT TOO COMPLICATED BUT HAS ENOUGH FEATURES TO PLAY WITH! I LIKE CANON CAMERAS SO MUCH THAT I UPGRADED TO THE CANON A400 AND GAVE THIS CAMERA TO MY MOM! ENJOY!

    I owned this same camera and I personally loved it. It was easy to use, it allowed you the mini video clips to make short movies with voice and download to your computer as well as getting quality pictures of a minimum of 100, lesser quality 166. Everything you need comes with this camera when buying it new. It is simply one of the easiest and best cameras to buy, if you like convenient, fun, and simple.

    I thought I would add a little to this. I just won a bid on Ebay for this exact same camera. This makes the 4th one I have bought. Not for me but for family members. I am telling you with technology getting as advanced as it is today this is just the camera of my dreams because of it's simplicity and excellent quality.

    Don't be fooled by some others this one is GREAT!!!!
