Canon Pixma MP480 All-In-One InkJet Printer

After reviewing several printers, I decided to purchase this one. I sort have always been biased towards Canon, but considered several other brands as well. So far this has been my best Canon yet. Right out of the box it was up and running. It scans pictures easily and quickly. I really cant think of anything bad about this printer. If you arent sure which one to get, I recommend this one.......and I did alot of research.

I am very happy with my scanner it's a good size,and it was brand new. The shipping was fast and I received it without any scratch. the only thing i don't like is that the ink is a little expensive, other than that is perfect.

I love the quality of photo prints. They look almost professional. However it did take a few times to fiqure out what I was doing, (no fault of Canon, I am used to doing things before reading manual, it's better to read instuctions first.) I definely would buy another Canon and I highly recommend this product.

I like this printer very much-it cost less than the one I bought 6 years ago-but the quality is so much better. My old printer was a joke! I spent more on that and the quality was terrible. I am very happy with this Cannon. It looks great too!!! I have tested it with print and photos- and I have found no cons so far...for a general consumer this is a great product.

Si las preguntas es por este vendedor tomthevideoedition item #330321572408, me siento desepcionado con el, pues la razón de el por no enviar la impresora fue que no pudo imprimir la etiqueta con mi dirección, no es aceptable esa decisión de el me a costado mucho tiempo en comprar en las subasta de eBay otra impresora la cual no e conseguido todavia pues los precios de embarque para PR muchos de estos vendedores cobran dos o tres veces el costo de la transportación otros ofrecen gratis el transporte pero para PR. nos es valido la oferta y otros son honestos sin embargo USPS para los E.U. la transportacion por medio de ellos es casi identica para mi servicio postal 00612. ( compre el producto por que otra persona lo necesitaba para sus tareas escolares, aunque algunos productos son para mi uso personal). me gustan las apuestas de eBay pues disfruto el final de ellas al ver como muchos compradores tratan de ganar apostando en el ultimo minuto, y despues pensar en la frustación de ellos al no poder ganar la subasta yo lo e sentido tambien, y sentir la alegria del ganador como la e sentido yo al ganar tambien una subasta. Las subastas de eBay son como una competencia el mas rapido la gana.
Tambien compralo ahora tiene buenas ventajas pues los precios son razonables.

I think this is one of the better brands on the market at a good price. There are faster printers if you are willing to pay more but, the Canon Pixma is a great, cheap all-in-one printer for those who don't need fax capabiltiy and want good quality photos printed. The scanner works good and printing is fast after the printer gets started. Not the highest performer, but great for home office or students who need an all around printer that uses better photo technology and, copies, scans and prints well. I got mine new in the box for $60.00 on ebay. That's about average to a good price I think. It retails for about $100.00 right now at walmart. That includes a warranty and receipt though. I think this printer will have no porblem outlasting the one year warranty is why I bought it for about half price on ebay without a reciept. Happy shopping!! May 11, 2009

I bought this all in one printer for my daughter-in-law's birthday present. The ratings said it was a good photo printer. It seems to be a good printer for the money. Its only problem is it seems to use a little to much ink.

I bought this printer to replace an old Lexmark X1100-series whose drivers were incompatible with my Vista-based laptop. I read the CNET review for the PIXMA line of printers, and it earned high marks. The unit has a built-in card reader which will read any memory card, as well as a dedicated USB port for thumb drives. The LCD screen and menu buttons allow you to browse through files without using a computer. Printing quality and scanning are top-notch, and the unit comes with photo paper included. I don't print photos, but it's a useful option. The design is visually appealing, and all of the access points have flip doors, to reduce dust accumulation. The software strikes a good balance between being useful and overkill, and it's easy to install. I don't see any downside to this printer for the typical user, especially at this price point. Obviously, if you're a high-tempo user (business/photography), you should pay for a higher-end model. However, for regular people's needs, this is an excellent product.

Recently purchased when the print head on an existing printer died. Turned out it was easier / cheaper to buy a new printer off Ebay than replace the head! We've had allot of printers over the years. Right now Canon is our favorite brand (our past Epsons break down to easy). We picked this one for simple general purpose home scanning, copying, and printing. It's a mid price device from Canon. It was very easy to set up out of the box. Software loaded on our iMac easily. Unlike older models, you can put the printer info / control software icon right on the Dock (or for PC's on your desktop or somewhere else handy rather than deep in the applications folder. Test prints after set up were all clean. The software controller & help info and the actual controls on the device are easy to use and understand. Printing, scanning, and copying tests all came out good. In high quality print / copy mode printing to Canon glossy paper photos came out very nice - not pro quality, but nice for regular purposes (for pro quality photos printing we also have a top of the line Canon). I think that bumping up the contrast (using the printer controls in the software app) a little will make photos a litte more lively. Text was perfect, and graphics (like powerpoint) were also fine. The printer size is a plus - it does not take up much space. It's smoother and quieter than our last printer. Scanning is quick and easy, and you can go up to a 600 dpi resolution, which is fine for most home purposes. We've had some past issues with Canon print heads, so time will tell with this one. Having only two ink cartridges makes things simpler, but a drawback could be that you might run out of one color first. Time will tell if this approach is overall better / more cost effective. We had no problem finding replacements in the stores (Target, Wallmart, Best Buy, etc). Past experience for us is that if you want the best quality and longest life, use Canon inks, not the cheaper knock-offs / alt brands. Initially, very pleased with this unit. Time will tell as to the overall. So for now we give it a Good rating.

I like the Canon printer because it is simple to use and it produces photo shop quality prints. I decided to buy it for the features which it offers and the brands reputation. I was surprised to find that most new printers don't come with a USB printer cable, but I managed to pick one up for just over $2.00.

prints great pictures, very simple to use, goo price for the proformance you get from it, i though long and hard about this printer before deciding on it. i was looking for something that would work good for photo printing

I LOVE CANON PRINTERS. I REPLACED A CANON THAT WAS 3 YEARS OLD. I DECIDED TO REPLACE WITH SAME BRAND-----DUE TO A GREAT PRICE & PERFORMANCE & CANON HAS 2 INK CARTRIDGES, WHERE OTHER BRANDS NEED MANY MORE, UP TO 5 OR MORE CARTRIDGES. I AM VERY PLEASED.

I purchased many printers in the past, but this one is tops. I use it mainly for formal envelope invitations and labels, very easy to set, up prints fast and correctly the address always in the center where I want it. Tried a photo too, very sharp colors, and reasonably priced for so many features. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent printer. Can't complain about the price and quality of
prints. Photo quality is not bad at all, even on just plain paper.Scanner is fast and copier function is great. This printer is excellent for home use but not for student that does a lot of printing. If you are a student and does a lot of paper works, you might want to have extra ink cartridge with you; other than that this one is a winner. Works perfectly with windows xp 32 bit and windows vista 64 bit.( I dual boot). It has a small LCD, you can print directly from memory, you cancopy document even if the computer is off. These all for 53 dollars and 15 dollars shipping.

Am "All-in-One printer" is a printer, copier, scanner, and fax. This product did not have a fax, so I had to purchase a separate fax machine from Staples. This Canon is really a "Three-in-One" and should be title as such.

Its a good printer very quite it prints pretty fast to! But it didnt come with printer cable!Had one around the house so i was good & Ink Runs our pretty quick when printing after like 3 photos and a few web pages and shipping labels i was already a quarter of the way down on the color and it was going fast and black was ok but now i see it also going down! I just got the xl ink for it cause of how fast its going down! But other then the ink going down at a pretty fast rate it a good printer fast quite and no problems with drivers the scanner works great hope this help out if you looking at buying this printer or another one of canons printers!

I love it because it prints beautifully and the scanner is so fast. It is a wonderful printer and it is quiet when you have it set on the quiet mode. I have used it again and again! Way more than any other printer I have owned. This is a definite must have!

Ezy setup, space efficient, clean design, ezy maintenance and inks online at cheap pricing. It is all I need to complete personal and business tasks. Excellent software package included.

This is a great all in one printer for the price. Prints documents pretty fast, and makes very nice photo prints. Easy to use software. I had a Kodak all in one printer that gave me a lot of trouble, so this one is a pleasure. As a photographer, I've been using Canon cameras for 25 years, now I'll stick to Canon for printing as well.
