    I recently purchased a Canon PIXMA Pro 9500 InkJet Printer for my home based photography company. As I have no need of truly wide format prints I kept things practical and went with a 13" wide format; but, the feature that hooked me is the 10 ink system, PGI-9. With three blacks my B & W prints are exceptional and Selective Color shots pop! I am still playing around with several photo papers, but as of so far I would recommend sticking to satin or semi-gloss. The printing speed is better than average, especially for the quality prints you will achieve. 4X6 prints in just over a minute.
    Bottom line is the PRICE. This printer was offered with a rebate through Canon, which helped, but even without it, this printer is more valuable than the price I paid. I am creating professional grade photos at a competitive size, well above the industry average PPI/DPI all for much less than $800! Amazing. Simply amazing.
    If you have limited space and limited budget, but still want a high quality, semi-wide format printer that will compete with the current market, I strongly recommend the Canon PIXMA Pro 9500.
