Canon EOS Elan 7 Body Only 35mm Film Camera

In this day and age of Digital there are still some people who like the results that film can provide. I shoot weddings and the often request is for some Black and White. This camera is capable of providing some great images. The feel is balanced and with the proper lenses can assist the photographer in doing a great job.

I love the weight of the body, it just feels right while holding it. It is fast, functions well and surpasses all of my amateur needs. Just spend some extra money and get good lenses.

I have always wanted an Elan 7. After many years of using Canon's Rebel cameras I knew an Elan would be a nice step up for me. Since many are switching to digital SLRs I figured this would be a good time to get an Elan 7 at a fair price within my budget. I found this one and liked the price so I purchased it. The transaction went very smooth and I am happy with the camera.

I bought this as a gift for my mother. She just got her first prints back from the developers and they were great. The camera works perfectly. The scratch on the upper right back of the camera body didn't have any light leaks but I appreciate the seller including that information on the product page. These are still the best cameras. They take better pictures than the digital cameras and have the flexibility of all the f lenses. I love my canon elan 7 and will always have one, even of the day that I can afford an expensive slr digital.

I decided to purchase the camera to run black and white film though. I already have a selection of Canon EF lenses that I use on the digital bodies, but lacked an EOS film body. Being that I tend to shoot manually, I didn't see the point on spending money on higher end body (eg; the 1v). As far as the condition of a 10+ year old SLR, it is very clean and has virtually no scuffs on it (surprise surprise). Dropped a new battery in, some cheap film to test with, and fired away with a 17-40mm lens.
