I had a 50mm and a 28-105 lens that was my all around lens on my 35mm but when I switched to digital, the 28mm was no longer wide enough to get some of the shots I wanted. I know this is a "kit" lens and most move on to other lenses but for all around shooting, this is my new favorite lens. I am shooting a Canon 30D. My other lenses are a 50, 28-105 and 75-300IS.
