Canon CanoScan LiDE100 Flatbed Scanner

Nice little unit, I have had it about three months. Very nice to not have another "power adapter" in my mess of plug-ins, this little unit runs off my computer via UPS connection. Runs well and does good quality scans. The only problem I have with it is when I push the "Scan" button on the front of the machine, it goes straight to "PDF Scan" even though there is a different button for that function.
I have to open the software and direct the scanner from there, then there are no problems.

I am very happy with this scanner. I was considering getting an all-in-one printer instead of a scanner, but after reading some reviews on different scanners, decided to get this one. I could not be happier. Some of the features I have used already are the "copy" feature. One touch "copy" feature scans your document and prints right away. It's great!! And I have used the "pdf" feature. This feature scans your document and saves it in "pdf" form. If you are on the fence about which scanner to get or whether or not to get an all-in-one printer or a scanner, I recommend getting this scanner.

I know with the internet there is always room for error on our part but this was the best buy that i have made so far everything was perfect

simple, functional, no power cable grat for storing documents and casual photo scanning. Great buy, and this is usable with Visa/Win 7 64 bit O/S. Small enough to put away when not using and simply hook up the one usb cable. Installed in minutes.

I like this scanner because it takes up very little room and is compatable with Vista.....Also it was inexpensive.

Alittle bigger than i thought but awesome. easy set up and easy use. Nice that it only needs one cord to do all

This scanner is really nice ONLY if you're looking for a scanner that does one job and does it nicely.

What I like:
- It construction is very simple yet the scanner does its job and produces high quality scans.
- It is also very light and durable (as much as a scanner can be)
- It looks good and is a great addition to a nice desk or work area.

What I dislike:
- Software included is a little confusing, had problems setting what type of program to show scanned images in.
- Can be fairly difficult to find drivers for (if you lack cd) seeing as many versions of it are out there.
- The price (although the quality is good)

Conclusion: This scanner is definitely a good buy if you're looking for something to get the job done quickly. I would highly recommend it, however, I would also suggest seeking out another scanner if the price is out of your range.

It's very sleek and nice looking. I wish the instructions came in writting instead of on a disk. It's hard to read instructions and set the settings when you have to keep changing Screens on your PC. The Scanner did not work for the Purpose I needed it for and the Company that sold it to me were very rude. They would not even consider the Idea of me returning it for a Half price credit to buy another one at Three times the Cost!!! one company I will never do business with again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Item was just as described New in Box. Bought it for traveling.
Opened item checked it and it works great. Most of my shopping experiences on Ebay have been very good, sometimes there is a problem but when you use PayPal it is resolved quickly. I would only pay using PayPal. I also use it with other purchases on line and if the vendor does not accept PayPal I don't buy.

Great little flatbed scanner for the money. Nice thing about this one is no power cable. It powers thru the USB cable.

I was searching for 2nd scanner for my computer and after reviewing on the internet. I found it was the right product for me, not only the price and easy to install and use. Plus integrate with other canon product I've purchased before. So it's a no brainer and e-bay is the place to get it.

First time user: It works for what I wanted it to do. I expect it to be more user friendly and faster. What do I expect for $50.00? It beats going to Kinko's to copy and pay lots of money. I bought the new canon scanner two weeks ago for my business,and was immediately impressed with the quality of item. Recommended this model for everyone.

The LiDE 100 flatbed scanner is compact, handy, and easy to store when not in use. It is also available at a marvelously low price. For the first time that I know of, the mechanism operates with gears, not pulleys, meaning that the scans are unprecedentedly sharp and clear, with absolutely no dark patches. The drawback, however, is that you mustn't connect the scanner until the driver software has been installed. And then, after you've installed the driver, your system will no longer boot reliably, sometimes not booting at all, unless the scanner is connected. The trickiest part of this comes during installation. You cannot install the software if the scanner is connected. But if you allow the installation software to reboot the system automatically, it will try to boot before you've had a chance to connect the scanner! The solution to this is to cancel the automatic reboot, shut down the system yourself, then connect the scanner before rebooting.

Great product and great seller. I couldn't believe I received it the next day. The scanner is great and just what I needed to get my business going.

Worked right out of the box. Very inexpensive but works well for my limited applications. Easy to scan and photo copy pages. Well satisfied.

This scanner works quite well though it's a bit slow if you have a stack of items to scan.All in all still a good value.I don't know about it's reliability as I've only had for several weeks.I have had problems with canon standing behind there product in the past,(tape eating camcorder)but I took a chance because the price was right.

I like this scanner for what it does; what I need. It's good enough w/function, but typical of Canon, it's rough and tough.
