Canon CLI-8 (4 Pack) Ink Cartridge

Why risk damaging your printer by using a generic, re-manufactured, re-filled, re-cycled printer cartridges? I really like saving money. But before a bargain is a bargain. The product's manufacturer and/or retailer must convince me. That it is the same as the Manufacturer's name brand branded item. I keep writing to both retailers and manufacturers attempting to request information. I personally, think I need to make this decision on. However. thus far each and every retailer and/or manufacturer has not supplied me with what I needed. Also talking with family, friends and especially technicians. Who on a daily basis sees. What non-branded ink cartridges can and DO DO to printers. My personal experience, as well as those of trusted sources, have convinced me. That there is a sufficient difference between these ink cartridges. That the price difference alone is NOT enough of a difference to buy these knock-offs. Besides what kind of output or prints will it make even "IF" it does not harm the printer itself? Will these prints be waterproof, last as long as those with the printer's manufacturer?
