Canon BubbleJet i550 InkJet Printer

I realy do like the printer. I use to have one like it and
it quit and could not find anyone who could fix it. The reason
I like it is because it prints good and the cartriges are
cheaper to buy than most printers. And I really like Canon
products.

I purchased this product because I use one at work. It is rugged works good without malfunctions and the type of ink cartridges that it uses is very inexpensive.

loved the menu
loved the fact that refills were only a buck a pop and easy to get from wholesalers
loved the fact that each color was in a separate cartridge so that you are not harrassed to buy new refills every time you end a color demanding print job!
lightweight portable design fit comfortably under my desk
but got old and i did not clean/maintain it often enough so it slowly halted... wish it was cheaper to fix than to buy new... welcome to america :)

I`am very glad that I purchased the printer it is one of the better printers ,I have had ,It does a good job of printing and , it is a lot cheaper on the cost of keeping it in ink.

black cartrige doesn't work properly and I'm forced printing the texts by dark colors, that decreases the printing speed and quality of the documents.

I have been through 2 of these printers over 3 years..yes seems like a lot but i have never paid more than 50 dollars for it. The price of the ink makes it a bargain. Sure I could go buy an Epson or a better Canon but the ink alone makes it expensive for these more expensive printers. I even tossed out the "freebie" Epson printer that I got with my computer, because the printer ink alone was just outrageously over priced.

I have seen complaints about the print head for this printer..if it clogs just rinse under the hottest tap water you can and use a couple of paper towels to wick up the excess ink and water. Let it dry and bingo it works like new again.

I really like the Canon printers primarily because of the separate ink cartridges for each color. The 550 Model uses the fairly large 3e ink cartridge so you don't have to change cartridges very often.

I purchased the i550 because I have one already and wanted the second printer to use the same ink. The print quality of the i550 is good for a home printer.

When I bought a laptop I decided to get a printer for it. I had one of these printers on my desktop and have used it for everything from ordinary text to printing photos. I have always used Canon printers for digital printing at my job or home printing. Since I had one it made sense to buy another so that I could use the same inks in both and also knew how dependable it is. The only thing is that it doesn't do anything wider than 8.5 but will print the length of a banner if you want. If you do scrapbooking you can print some pretty wonderful things in 8.5x11 format for pages. I have done it several times. I highly recommend this printer for most of your needs. People have been amazed how well it prints photos as well.

The printer did not work. I could not get it to work. Tried several things to get it to work. Was disapointed.
