Cannibal! The Musical (DVD, 2000, Special Edition)

Written and directed by the brilliant Trey Parker, this movie was allegedly released under the alternate title, "Alferd Packer! The Musical". Loosely based on the true story of Alferd Packer's adventures in cannibalism, this film features everything that is great about Trey Parker's unique brand of humor.

Matt Stone carries a larger role in this movie than he did in "Orgazmo," but not as prominent a role as he played in BASEketball. Familiar performers from Orgazmo and BASEketball are also cast in this entertaining jaunt through the mountains of Utah and Colorado in search of Breckenridge (or a horse, depending on which member of the party you're asking).

The music is excellent, well-suited to the theme, well-placed within the film, and will seem oddly familiar to fans of South Park.

For sheer entertainment value, this movie is a "ten". Fans of Trey Parker & Matt Stone will be delighted with this story, and consider it among their most prized pieces of Parker/Stone memorabilia.

Obligatory note to those who have major crushes on Trey ... you will absolutely LOVE him in this movie. Lots and lots of close-ups. :)

This is a very funny movie made by the creators of South Park. As such, nothing serious is to be expected from it...

It's the story of the only man in America convicted of canibalism as viewed by the two famous creators.

Since the movie is a musical, there are quite a few songs in the movie. They are very funny, althought none of them will ever win a Tony!

I love the movie because it is hilarious and musical. I love Humphrey. Some people might think it's stupid (probably because there's some gore), but it adds to the absurdity of the movie. Totally worth it.

I bought it because the movie is HILARIOUS. One of the many Trey Parker greats! The movie is simple and hilarious, the beginnings of South Park show through all over. This is in my top 10 comedies of all time, a MUST SEE!

I bought this because it is my favorite movie of all time. From parody to satire and ridiculous hilarity of all forms in between, the movie is brilliant. The over-exaggerated acting is comical in that it parallels so closely that of real life behavior.
Produced by Trey Parker and Matt Stone of South Park fame, with Trey Parker starring as Alfred Packer, the movie is something I'd recommend to anyone with the capacity to laugh at stupidity. If you lack a sense of humor in that sense, don't bother buying it. You will think it exactly that: stupid.

Bought it because of the directors. Dislike it because it was nothing like I thought it should be. NOT nearly as funny as i thought it would be. I have nothing against musicals, the movie just lacked everything.

I purchased this as a gift for my 19 year old son, it was something he had been desperately looking for. I have not, and probably won't view the movie.

i absolutely love this movie. Its definitely one of the best that cult cinema has to offer. I stumbled upon this movie thanks to a couple buddies of mine about 4 years ago. A movie rental place in town ACTUALLY had a copy, i couldnt believe it. If you have a good sense of humor and you dont need your movies to be serious or gaphically stunning, then i think its impossible not to enjoy a world where "the sky is blue and all the leaves are green" and "the air is warm like a baked potato"

I believe this is the funniest movie I have ever seen. My friend showed it to me a few months ago and I spent the rest of the time trying to find it. Ebay was the only place that carried the movie.

In early december, i purchased "Cannibal" the movie off of some guy. He never sent it and i lost out on the money. The seller really sucked and he should be taken off of your browser/site.

I ordered this DVD for my boyfriend as a Christmas present. I beleive it was purchased on 12-16, something like that. And couldn't tell you if I like it or not because it is February 2nd and I have yet to receive it. Thanks.

One of the best comedy/musicals ever, if you like south park then you will probably like this movie. It is npt as polished as some of their newer work, but it is just as funny if not funnier than anything else Matt Stone and Trey Parker ever made.
