This book basically starts at the beginning and goes onwards. The thing I most liked about this book is the way Phillip Cooper approached the whole subject. Let's face it if we tell someone we are burning candles for love, peace, or success the majority of people will perhaps smile and be polite then think we are wierd...I know I would. Catholics burn candles, they have Candles with pictures of different saints on them, Christians burn candles,,Jews burn them,,all to symbolize the light of God the light of hope. No one that I know of thinks they are wierd for that. But when you get into the element of fire and buying a candle with a specific "thought" or "Desire" or "wish" if you will, thats when the average person I have found looks at you funny. But whats the difference really? In fact this book in a very easy to follow way shows us how there really is no difference. It does branch out into the elements and power of suggestion and mentally bringing some thing into being but as a whole the book will lead a person to understand the history and the understanding of practical Candle burning to relax and soothe and using positive thinking to create magic in ones life as well as surroundings.
This book i wasnt happy with in honesty it bored me i had a hard time continuing to want to read this book. Its 163 pages counting the index pages. it has oil info and incense does have some recipes for incense. There are far better books out there to read.
