Candice Olson on Design by Candice Olson (2006, Paperback)

Great book with lots of decorating ideas. I watch Candice Olson on TV and enjoy her fresh and different ways of decorating. The book also gives personal information about Candice that I found most interesting and funny. She talks alot about her college years and how she became interested in decorating. She credits her mother for lots of help and encouragement. The book is easy to read and to follow so even a "wanna be" decorator can get help and enjoyment at the same time. Many of the decorating books I purchase are outdated and/or over the top. I think you will agree it is worth the money and time invested.

Having seen and loved all Candice's tv shows, I was disappointed to find that they were repeated in the book. I had hoped for new material! Still, there were lots of tips and ideas for making your home beautiful as only she can. The pictures are plentiful and large. There is also a short history of her life (a surprise or two here!). The book ends with a very useful index. A definite buy if you wan that special touch in your home that is so much more than the usual design book. This lady really knows her stuff!

I had to buy this book for my Interior Design classes. This book is a great source of information. It's easy to read and has great examples of color rendering with art markers. This book had good ideas/layouts for material boards. There are tons of color pictures and amazing examples of elevations and floor plans. This is a great book for aspiring Interior Designers! Definetely worth the money! Not every designer on HGTV is a true representation of a real interior designer, but even my professors agree that Candice Olson knows what she's talking about!!

I love, love, love interior decorating & Candice Olson is one of the best. She is very visual and uses colors perfectly. Candice also is funny. I love the pictures in the book. I was inspired with ideas for my own home. Of course my budget is a lot smaller.

Love this book. I want to do-over every room in my house after reading it! Nice photos and creative inspiration.
