Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella (2005, Paperback, Reprint)

I adored this book. I really liked the first three Shopoholic books (the fourth wasn't my favorite) so I thought I'd give Ms. Kinsella another try. I was not disappointed.

The protagonist, Emma Corrigan, is very likable. The plot goes full-circle.

There is just nothing wrong with this book except it's hard to put down.

I loved this book because it was so funny and very entertaining to read. I decided to buy it because I like the author and I have read a couple of her Shopaholic books which were hilarious as well so I figured this one would be just as good and it was. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to read something that will make them laugh and who enjoys a book about someone who you can kind of relate to in terms that we all have secrets that we keep and would absolutely die if they ever got out.

I love Sophie Kinsella's writing. She's fun, witty and a true chic lit writer. Her characters are smart, funny, interesting and real. There is always something I can relate to in these fictional characters because they are so real. Sophie spins a laugh out loud tale full of fun, travel, mystery and fantasy that is never rude or crude in verbage. I know I am assured a good read when I buy her books. And they are fun for all ages of women. This book, Can you keep a secret, is a keeper and nothing like other Sophie books and her other characters we love in the shopaholic books. The main character is recognizable in the fact you know you have met her before but she is not Becky. If you love the shopaholic books you will really be happy you read this one too! AT- Seattle

Another excellent book by Sophie Kinsella. She does such a great job of making her characters come to life. If you are looking for an endearing character who makes you want to take care of her, this is a great read for you. It is an easy read, one you can take to the beach, or just something to pick up whenever you have a free minute around the house. I highly recommend it.

I've been hooked from the very first book. (the movie... ho hum) But I love the books, they are lighthearted & truly meant for entertainment & relaxation. Since I am a label freak & what some might label a shopaholic maybe that is why even the over 50 crowd can enjoy the muses of Sophie Kinsella.

A most enjoyable read. This is the first of Sophie Kinsella books I have read and it's my favorite. Couldn't put it down.

The story is fun to read, but the scope is unrealistic. What's the chance that you fly for the first time, get bumped to first class, sit next to a multimillionair who happens to own the company you work for? Then when he meets you in the company setting, he falls in love with you, and you are just a peon in the corporate ladder. Too fake right? But her writing is still fun to read. I give it a "B" for the humour, and "C" for the storyline.

I absolutely love Kinsella's style of writing. It is funny and very perceptive. A totally feel good read. A must for every woman no matter which stage in life!!
