It Came from Bob's Basement by Bob Burns, John Michlig (2000, Paperback)

A terrifficly entertaining book that will especially appeal to those that grew up during the "monster period" of the late 50's and early 60's. Bob Burns was there on many of the sets knew all the characters playing the monsters, heavys and heros of those movies. He was one of hollywood's few gorilla players and appeared with Lucy Arnez and Mickey Rooney to name a few. His hollywood Halloween shows are legendary. All this and more are covered in this heavily-illustrated book that showcases many of the props now in Bob's amazing collection. It's full of funny stories- like listening to a favored uncle tell of his great experiences. The only complaint is that it isn't twice as big. Highly recommended.
