The Camaro White Book is the Right Book!!
Review created: 09/09/08(updated 03/25/09)

I have been looking to buy a Camaro for several months. I am quite knowledgeable about cars and have a great deal of information in my head from years of reading about and working on cars, including Camaros. However, I was often confused over the many differences in claims of horsepower, original equipment and options as presented by the sellers. This is the book that unlocks the assigned codes used by Chevrolet to determine what the actual original equipment was or should be on a particular car. The proper use of this book can clear the air and still the cloudy waters that could slip you up in your quest for the right Camaro. It can save you from spending a lot of extra money on a Camaro represented as an original big block car, 4 speed, automatic, A/C equipped or Z28 car that is in fact a clone or an outright fraud. The use of this book and a little verification on your part can save you a great deal of grief and aggravation in the long run. It could also be the ticket to the verification you needed to identify a diamond in the rough that will justify spending a little more than you had planned to get a fully documented rare Camaro. The beauty of the book is the continued efforts of the author to update the book and keep it current for all Camaro vehicles. It even addresses the rare after market and highly desirable versions of the Camaro made for Berger Chevrolet, Gibb, Yenko, Dicky Harrell and others.
I really like the chronological approach used in this particular book that starts with the first 1967 Camaro and ends with the 2002 version. It allows you to look at and concentrate on the particular model year you are interested in. It also lists the changes from year to year as they occurred including any midyear run changes. It is also valuable for the individual who is looking to buy a late model Camaro as they are future classic muscle cars. All Camaro color codes are included for exterior and interior restorations. The book can help you identify a rare car with a rare color combination and a possible one off interior combination for your particular Camaro and drive train combination.
In short if used properly this book will arm and protect you in your quest to purchase the best Camaro you can possibly get for the money.
