This book is very helpful whether you are counting carbs, calories, or fat. It is easy to read and use. It lists foods, alcohol, fair-carnival-stadium foods, restaurant and international with the calories (C), fat (F), and carbohydrates (Cb) in columns next to the foods. The guidelines are phenomenal. There is a listing of weight control tips along with body fat distribution that gives a scale for your BMI according to your weight and height. Some of the other guides include diabetic, high blood pressure, salt sodium guide and counter, and reshaping eating habits.
After discussing and reviewing my diet with a diabetic dietician I purchased this book for better health as I am a newly diagonosed diabetic. It is great to be able to look at a glance what individual foods contain, and be able to figure out a menu based on the total amount of carbs and calories one is alloted for a meals or snacks during the day.
Some of you maybe think you are not overweight, and eat healthy. I though I ate healthly. My weight calculating the BMI is not high, I am at a healty low health risk weight. Type diabetes runs in my family. I challenge you to read the book and see how healthy you really are.
