This is the first book that I read by Janette Oke. I haven't stopped reading her books since.
This book follows a young woman as she attends Bible School and searches for God's will in her life. As she begins to discover what her "calling" is, she discovers that things aren't as easy as they seem.
The story is set in the pioneer times, and portrays the hardships of their time wonderfully.
These books are usually found under Inspirational Romance, but I love Janette Oke's novels because they deal with all relationships (God, family, friendships, romance, and the community).

Janette Oke is an excellent writer of Christian Books. I highly reccommend her to everyone, especpecially someone who is searching for truth and meaning in life. The book is an excellent sample of her work and an interesting story. I lived it!
